I know it’s only a trial but it looks like the crap is totally ingrained

You know most of those guys that played tonight won't go anywhere near fist grade right?


That last quarter was mostly Flegg/ REggies

I thought Laurie looked very promising and Madden looked absolutely shocking.

Madden is a bit hot and cold. Needs to eliminate dumb plays. If he does that he’ll be a handy player.

Hadn’t seen much of him before today but he was one of our worst on ground over the course of the game.

People have built their expectation too high about this guy.
He was always a borderline proposition for our stating side.
He is still on L plates.

It was getting dark, Maybe that is the reason for so many intercepts thrown by the young Tigers.

Standouts for me...Laurie, Tuki Simpkins has been the biggest surprise, he's got a great motor on him and very busy in attack and defence. Stefano looks the goods, Talau has looked good, Seyfarth has some silly penalties in him but has gone ok otherwise. Tuilagi on the right edge has been ok and both Simpkin and Liddle look sharp - Simpkin needs to show a bit more patience though, which I'm sure will come through experience.

Do you think we will lose some of Laurie's play-making skills at fb? He is looking good out there at 6

I reckon , getting him wider will be a godsend . He looks like a class above madden . Do we have someone in the squad to play 6 this second half ? I’d like to see Laurie at the back .

Madden was rocks and diamonds, his kicks were good, but his passing game was below average, Dockar-Clay was better than him

Every time I watch Madden play I wait for him to produce something/anything to justify the wraps.
Unfortunately I think he just doesn't have it in him.
The good ones look good from the beginning, they look like they belong.
Madden doesn't.

Does anyone know why we didn’t just keep benji on a low money contract as backup? Do we just put it down to another standard poor management decision?

So does anyone think we should read into the whole t.simpkins starting lock and j.Simpkin at hooker once t.simpkins went off j.Simpkin slotted into lock? Or am I reading to much into it?

Also did I hear right that mbye has a hamstring injury or am I just tripping?

Wouldn’t be a good decision regarding media bashing and potential eggshell drama and if he isn’t in our top team it’s just not gonna sit well with his unstainable aura that the players/media feed off of.

My thoughts on the game....
Simpkin,Simpkins,Stefano and Seyfarth all looked good
Tuki Simpkins was my best foward.
Daine Laurie looks like a natural footballer,unfortunately let down a few times by other team mates.only a trial but he looks electric.
Liddle looked very calm and seemed to not break a sweat.we looked dangerous and organised with him on.also looked dangerous with Jake Simpkin,maybe a little more scrappy.
ZDC was probably our best in the second half lol seemed to read the game pretty well which I guess is to be expected with his experience compared to others.
A tad disappointed with Chee Kam.
Would of liked to see the boys gamble a bit more in attack and throw the ball out wide.
Didn’t really see much of our backs.was really keen to see Kei,Hoffman and Fitzgibbon.
From what little I saw of Kiah Cooper he looked very strong ,with and without the ball.
Only a trial but just my thoughts lol

Ps I wonder if Hartigan could lure Volkman 😂

I put it down to an EXCELLENT management decision. It was clear he had more leaks to the media than anything, and the coach virtually said that last week in his interview. Too much of a drag on the coach and culture, so better he goes.

I've always appreciated what he bought to our club and the game, but move on time, and the club knew it.

Wouldn’t be a good decision regarding media bashing and potential eggshell drama and if he isn’t in our top team it’s just not gonna sit well with his unstainable aura that the players/media feed off of.

Fair enough. It just seems strange to me both from a pr and on field perspective. He’s a club legend and means so much to many and obviously still has a lot to offer in a team that now has a very unproven and inexperienced spine
