Stolen off Twitter (not sure whose post it is, so hope it's fine either way also apologies as I can't give credit to appropriate person) but thought it would be still great to share on forum... and try to hopefully create a little fun on here.
**The first three words you see will reveal the fortunes of your NRL team in 2022....**
Mines were rebuild, ninth and consistent.

thats a great post @Lauren

I've been bored out of wits from being on bedrest for over a week, so basically wanted to try something more effortless than scattegories - which is what I was initially up for. But don't think that wouldve went down too well on the forum.

Hehe to some of the answers. Admit I spotted ass and runs first.

G'day @Lauren ...Very Merry Christmas to You and all those precious to you, both big and small.
I hope the bed rest has been good for you and you are up and about but taking it easy.
Please stay Covid safe and healthy.

Tysm, have always loved your energy ?
Would like to extend the same warm wishes to you, though want to add safe travels and hope you have a wonderful holiday season and happy new year.

I actually enjoyed not lifting a finger more than I thought I would and could get used to it. Feeling totally blessed and ever so thankful to my S/O.
I lost my beloved doggo during the year and got the most gorgeous, beautiful, tiny tiny lookalike puppy. But it's also made me think of anyone who's facing their first christmas without any loved ones, through whatever circumstances - Covid, a loss, divorce/separation or move/travelling.
So therefore sending lots of virtual hugs and good vibes to any forumers currently in this situation and wish you love, joy and peace. Hope the WT family (on the forum) can be of some support to you.

Tysm back to you @Lauren
Wow, we never stop learning do we. I had to check Google re the meaning of tysm.
I'm sorry to hear of the sad loss of your beloved doggo.
But as you said you now have the most gorgeous, beautiful tiny tiny lookalike puppy, so that's great and I reckon you would give it plenty of cuddles.
Wishing you the Very Best Lauren with 'Everything' during 2022 and beyond.

Lets see:
Definately ahead of us:
Storm
Easts
Rabbits
Manly
Parra
Sharks
Gold coast
Penrith

I cant see us coming above 9. No way

Likely overtakers:
Canberra
Dragons
Bulldogs (just on roster. IMHO Barrett will be terrible but he has signed well).
Knights (unsure how their halves will go)
Cowboys

Lucky to be 12th.

We may beat:
Warriors
Broncos

In short, we would have to see a massive lift from our team.
Yes our Attack is better then 13. But our defense
WHy sometimes we loose and I know our boys are brused badly and i shout "mighty tigers" but so often we loose and

In 2023 who should be the 18th team i personnel think it should new zealand team the warriors need a rivalry

If there is a second New Zealand team what should they be called

Today is the first day of another season... I don't accept failure due to anything
We're supposed to.be a professional sporting organisation but it seems all were good at is failing and trotting out excuses
It's gotta start now not next year or in three years time.
Sad weve been saying this for a decade

You can't stop the Magpies.

The "Nobody gives a crap about New Zealand team".
It'll be hard to fit on a jersey.

Those last two paragraphs bite

The truth really hurts, doesn't it? Hope the team have faced that pain and will have their noses to the grindstone in 2022 - or from this day forward.

The one thing I do believe however - and take some small comfort in - is that we have the final piece of the puzzle, to make things happen.
Sheens IMO has what it takes to get tasks completed and objectives met. He's able to make quick and effective decisions to keep everyone on their toes, yet more importantly rather than be the reactive type he's reflective and authoritative enough to communicate the important messages everyone needs to hear.
Unfortunately though I think this year is about putting things in order and laying the foundation for the future. If we can somehow jag someone else in the offseason, that genuinely improves us, then we've already done better than anticipated.

CAVEAT: Some are obvious, others from left-field. Some I'd love to happen, others I hope don't happen but here are my...

HALF-BAKED PREDICTIONS FOR 2022 (Just a bit of fun)

- Stefano re-signs

- Ponga announces he's signed with the Dolphins

- Tupou to be a revelation for us, tearing it up at centre.

- Hastings ‘unlocks’ Brooks running game, leaving Douehi to return to centre making our centre pairings Douehi and Tupou and, by the end of the year, considered to be one of the surprise packet centre pairings of the season.

- Laurie to improve even more but get injured mid-season leaving us with a hole to fill at fullback (unsuccessfully).

- After injuries and a few dodgy reffing decisions, we are out of finals contention by round 23.

- End of season, despite improvement, Madge is canned and, in Nov, Ciraldo appointed new coach for 2023.

- Tigers win the comp in 2025.

With the new year bringing new opportunities, as we enter 2022, we take a look at 22 reasons to be excited for the upcoming season.

Season opener
Wests Tigers will launch their 2022 campaign against the Melbourne Storm at CommBank Stadium. Following multiple COVID lockdowns, Members and fans will be excited to return for Round 1.

Multicultural Round
We can’t wait to host the Warriors at Campbelltown Sports Stadium in the third week of the competition, in which will be the NRL’s Multicultural Round. We’ve got some special surprises in store!

Return on lower grades
After a tough two seasons due to COVID, lower grades are back in 2022 — and we don’t have to wait long with junior reps kicking off next month. Our Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup side will be aiming for big seasons after successful 2021 campaigns.

Daine’s progression
Talented fullback Daine Laurie was impressive in his first full season in the NRL and he’s ready to go to a new level in 2022. Last year’s campaign ended in heartbreak as he suffered a nasty ankle injury, but he’s raring to go again.

Hastings in Wests Tigers colours
One of the big recruits for 2022, we can’t wait to have Jackson Hastings at the club this year.

Anzac Round
Wests Tigers will host another blockbuster game against last year’s grand finalists, South Sydney, at CommBank for Anzac Round. It’s always a special moment to stand as one to remember those who fought for our country.

Tamou’s 300th
It will be a big occasion when Wests Tigers captain James Tamou celebrates his 300th NRL game. The veteran prop is just 14 away from the big milestone.

Twal’s 100th
Reliable forward Alex Twal is also set to hit a major milestone with the century of games on the horizon. He’s 11 games away from the big 100 — a big celebration on the cards.

Centre of Excellence
Wests Tigers will move into brand new Centre of Excellence in 2022. The state-of-the-art facility will feature an elite high performance centre including gym and external training terrace, aquatic recovery pools, sauna and steams room, sports science, medical, sleep and rehabilitation facilities.

Gildart’s NRL debut
Another star recruit, Oliver Gildart will make his NRL debut for Wests Tigers this season. An England international, the centre is looking forward to playing in Australia.

Feel the magic
We’ve never lost at Magic Round and we want to keep it that way in 2022 when we face North Queensland at Suncorp Stadium. It’s the last game of the weekend, so we’ll be looking to leave Brisbane on a high.

AD’s return
A return date for Adam Doueihi is yet to be marked in the calendar, but his return from an ACL injury will be a pleasing sight for everyone at Wests Tigers. He’s been recovering well throughout pre-season and will be eager to get back out there in 2022.

Debutants
Who knows how many NRL debutants Wests Tigers will have this season, but it’s always an exciting moment to see a young kid achieve their goals. We’ll have to wait and see on this one.

Eels visit Leichhardt
Leichhardt Oval will be jammed packed when Wests Tigers host Parramatta in Round 17. It’s a Saturday night blockbuster you do not want to miss.

Battle of the big cats
Wests Tigers fans will be treated to back-to-back local derbies with a clash against the defending Panthers in Round 18. It’s always spicy when we face the Mountain Men and it shapes as another big game at CommBank Stadium.

Star players arriving
We can’t wait to have Jessica Sergis and Kezie Apps playing for the club this year. The international duo are eager to pull on the Wests Tigers jersey in 2022.

Final round
Sunday afternoon against the Raiders at Leichhardt Oval in the final round of the season — we’ve seen this movie before. This could be one of the biggest games of the year.

Peach’s club debut
Tyrone Peachey is another player we can’t wait to see on the field this year! Having joined from the Titans, the representative player will be aiming to return to his best in 2022.

Papali’i arrival at season’s end
He won’t be arriving at Concord until after the season, but Isaiah Papali’i’s signing at Wests Tigers caused plenty of excited. He’s contracted with the club from 2023 but we’ll see him in Wests Tigers colours for pre-season before Christmas.

Utoikamanu going to a new level
Rising prop Stefano Utoikamanu became one of the best young forwards in the competition in 2021 and he’s set to get even better this season.

Flying Ken
Having signed with the club midway through 2021, gun winger Ken Maumalo is primed for a big season with Wests Tigers. He scored 15 tries in 21 games last season — can he beat that mark this year?

Membership Appreciation Round
We’ll thank all our Members during Membership Appreciation Round at our Round 14 clash against Manly Sea Eagles at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
