2024 Breakout Star

I am going to back Seyfarth as someone who will become increasingly useful and change some opinions. I think Benji will use him more wisely than past coaches - ball playing 13 that will clean up the middle defensively.
He may not be a world beater but one of those players that represent value for money.

Latu Fainu when he gets his opportunity will kill it
Agree.. Sezar and Sullivan to start the season, with a few cameo's of Latu coming off the bench. By rd 12 Sullivan will be partnered by Latu and Sezar providing respite for both halves throughout the remainder of the season.
2025, Sullivan "after a good season" will return back to Saints and in exchange, WT will nab one of their brightest talents they have.
Jarome and Latu with be the halves combination for the next 5 years. The club will extend Sezar for 2025 season for experience and coverage.
Crystal ball out!!

His path seems too blocked. Has no future in the halves here, fullback is out. Maybe an outside chance to partner Olam. Other than that, he’s on borrowed time.
I don't think Doueihi has skill or speed to be an elite half, fullback or centre for any club. Even at his best.

His running game is his best attribute. At 6'4", he is a big body and would just do well to focus heavily on his defence and fitness. If he can transform that part of his game, he would be a valuable lock or edge forward. Plenty of room for players that can run the ball, break tackles and defend well.

Regardless of whether people think he is a back or can transition to the forwards, his defence lets him down to the point where he is a liability in any position on the park.

The only way I can see WT playing any meaningful footy into August / September is if Bula becomes a top 5 fullback in the game and scores/creates tries for us regularly. Add to that Sezer would need to play a very composed season and guys like Paps and Bateman would need to be firing. The secret to winning is consistency from your role players and some individual brilliance from your stars along with a good run of luck with injuries. I suspect we are paying Bula like a superstar so he’ll need to be one.

I can see Bula stamping himself as an elite fullback by years end.

The kid has work ethic and talent to burn which is a rare combo

Reece Walsh has all the talent in the world but a poor work ethic imo … only switches on occasionally.

Other than Bula I’m looking forward to seeing Pole progress aswell as our new signings Sullivan & Fainu

I don’t think he has the consistency of a Dylan Edward’s is what I’m saying. He doesn’t pump out 25+ runs a game like old mate

But sometimes 2 or 3 plays from him can win you a game
Different player. He’s explosive and can turn a game on a dime.

Can very easily lose you a game too .. he just has the luxury of great players to pick him back up if he’s having an off game

Not doubting he isn’t great, I’d just prefer my fullback to have a high work rate
It’ll come, he’s still a pup.
It wasn’t that many years ago that Penrith fans HATED Dylan Edwards with a ferocity you rarely see outside of our club.

Edwards played like a busted that year - his hands and general positioning let him down.

He looked too big and cumbersome to be a quality fullback and I could not believe they didn't have better options.

Proved me wrong the following year - but in hindisight I think it was his cardio fitness that needed to dramatically improve to get those simple errors out of his game.

Walsh looks to have bulked up this off-season - so it will be interesting to see if he has done the cardio work to compliment his enhanced physique and a high work rate game.
