I’ve just shown you that statement is pure crap. The guy touched the ball 78 times, ran it 28 times for 200+m and made 31 tackles. If that’s your definition of hiding, you are deluded.

Im pretty sure ( and please forgive me for my assumption) you would have seen & appreciated the great player Johns was, Not only to turn a game with his individual efforts, but also his rock solid defense. Cleary is also reasonably solid in defense when not injured, but would you play him in the middle of the field, like they did Johns for Aust at hooker? Not a chance. Same with Thurston IMHO, the 2nd best half to play the game, but hid him in defense on the wing.If you are saying Cleary is the best half now, i still have to argue that Moses is is also up there . But as far as the GOAT not a chance.

Cleary made 30 odd post contact meters with a busted wing - 31 tackles while hiding in the wing… missed 3
Luai - made 7 tackles - missed 4.
If he reckons Cleary was hiding and is a myth - he’s in for a real treat next year.

Beccaaauuseee, they are more than likely finally going to be weakened. Think of it this way. He’s just arriving to the most hyped, out of control party you can imagine, and just as he’s arriving, everyone is starting to reach for their jackets and head for the door.
