They are an unusual outfit Melbourne.
People have said that they rarely peak at the right time, and that appears true but I’d offer that they achieve excellence during the year far more than any other team but don’t have another gear beyond that.
winning 3 GFs in 20 seasons is a damn good return….until you realise theyve had 11 cracks at it.

Like the classic front running racehorse leads easily for most of the way but face the biggest challenge trying to reach the line.
When Bellamy finally leaves think they might come back to the pack with a thud, good players could leave and a long rebuild is possible.
