Surely if the club gets feedback to the effect that the logo looks horrible they can sort out with pepper to have the name white on the black, black on the orange jersey?
May seem trivial, but a decent selling jersey is symbiotic in terms of revenue for the club coupled with a greater catchment area of awareness for pepper as a brand in the broader community if more people wear it outside an nrl ground.
It doesn't even have to be amazingly eye catching; it just needs to be out there as people are far more subliminally aware of things than they (obviously!) realise.
What people have said about branding here is very true, but also pepper money having white lettering is not changing the golden arches...
