KPP probably been in the Poms Top 3 in my opinion

Thought he went well, much better than that angry ant Bateman.
Tackling was solid and landed some good covers. Always seemed to look for the offload, probably could use some of Bateman’s aggression.

Went to bed at HT. Biggest mistake I made was watching 1990 game 2 earlier in the night. It gave me a false sense of excitement. Its a shame they couldn't sell out Wembley, but i guess it's an indication how far the game has fallen over there.
Hopefully England can find something and make a good contest out of the next 2 tests, but of course, go the Kangaroos!!

International RL is in trouble.
That England side last night would struggle to defeat Wests Tigers.
I’d seriously state that game was a 6/10 performance from the Kangaroos. They play good footy next week with a faster ruck and the soap dodgers will cop a 50 point hiding.
Their pack are weak and when people say KPP was their best…well that’s just not good enough. Their spine are well below our standard.
AJ Brimson has to start and replace one of them.
Their coaching and preparation looks awful as well.
I want a good WC next year. So far only Australia and NZ look likely to provide quality games.

he is very gangly which makes his movements look very awkward. He defends well and gets a few offloads but it remains to be seen if he adds anything to our side.

Tonga and Samoa have surpassed England easily at the top level (no surprise with all the players jump ship)

Pommy backs with the exception of Herbie Farnworth have always been second rate, unsure of their forwards but noticed how easily the Poms fell off tackles. They were good when the burgess brothers played but have fell off a cliff since.

Obviously I like when we beat the Poms as much as the next guy, but I want international RL to succeed more. A close ashes series would be enormous for the game..unfortunately like you said, can only see the Aussies getting better and putting on cricket scores over the next 2 games

Coates would have been there but the point is valid. It’s a great opportunity for an up and comer to stake a claim ahead of the World Cup. There is a lengthy career awaiting someone.
