AUSTRALIAN RECORD OCEANIA RECORD

Lachlan Kennedy ran a Personal Best (PB) of 9.85s (+1.3) to finish 2nd in the Commonwealth Games men's 100m final in Glasgow.

In doing so, he broke Patrick Johnson's long-standing Australian and Oceania Record of 9.93s, which had stood since 2003.

Kennedy just ran 9.85 legal in the 100 … that’s the fastest white man time in the event also I believe.

I always thought Kennedy was just a super strong 60 runner then fades but you don’t run 9.8s without good top end speed

Lost in the last 3 strides ......fantastic performance doing a PB in the semi and then another PB in the final
