No idea...dont care.
But we have done well in the past up in brisvegas and as.such id hope we continue with it...thus my original point of weve done our bit with the round.one.bye someone.else.can miss.magic round

They don’t just come up with 1 draw … AI produces multiple options and they pick the one they like most ..

No they don’t come up with just one draw, they’d probably do it round by round and keep training the bot as it goes but if we had a bye round 1 in previous years then it is likely to occur again as that’s what the bot was trained on

Yes … we have done well ( for us) … but being the designated home team has nothing to do with it ..

But yes I agree that we won’t get two byes in the first 8 weeks so we can give up one of our home games again for Magic Round as we have every year ..as per my original comment

They have multiples of the entire draw …like dozens … Humans would then pick the one they like best ….

I never said us being the home team had anything to.do with us doing well....i.jyst states it as its a fact
 
What difference does a.round 2.bye have compared to rd 1?

Probably not.good.for.football fluency
Whiever gets round two bye could have 2 weeks trials...a week or two off...play round.one...round.2 off...play round.three.

Injuries wise.
Yes,.players picking up an injury in rd 1 where a week off us benefical is a big help


We may pick up injuries in the final LO trial where an extea week.is whats needed.

1st round byes:
2023 Dragons, won round 2 went 5-19

2024 Tigers, Lost round 2 went 6-18

2025 Titans, Lost round 2 went 6-18

The biggest impact of a 1st round bye would be early season form. I don't think these teams did badly because of the bye but it is obvious that struggling teams are the ones given the bye in round 1. That's really poor by the NRL and continues a pattern (whether real or imagined) where fans feel as if struggling clubs come up against a different set of rules.

Just about the worst thing that can happen to you in a draw in my opinion. Having to play warmed up opposition in round 2 and not getting as many breaks as all the other teams. It would also be bad having byes too close together, but this is worse.

Really disappointed in the NRL that one team should cop two first round byes. Should not be allowed.

There is a disadvantage of playing a team in Week 2 as your first game who played a proper game the week before …at least in Week 1 both teams are rusty ..

Yeah Round 2 bye ain’t great either …but they could work it so you play Sunday Round 1 and then the Thursday Round 3 so there is a 10-11 day break instead of 14…. Not ideal either but preferable to me
