I'm thinking that Sanders' decision making costs Canberra at the end. He kept going for the hero play. Both halfbacks were pretty ordinary. Both fullbacks had big games.

Fittler gives his man of match to Preston.
Just demonstrates how much different some experts watch a game, as I think most other so called experts tonight would have given the award to Tracy.
I personally would have nominated Tracy as best followed by Burton before Preston.

Easily Tracey, but how bad are the Raiders going? Just a shadow of the team they were last season. Sorry Ricky but I think your premiership window is firmly shut.

I think they will be okay, they probably win that game last year but they had a lot go against them. Apparently they haven’t even played a dry weather game this year yet either

Doggies have had 2 lucky wins so far

They have some attacking weapons too. Critta, kikau, preston but the raiders have kept them pretty quiet
They desperately need Preston, he makes Galvin look good and makes Galvin's position in that team look justifiable.

Galvin will get lots of try assists off the back of Preston.

Maybe the game winning field goal by Sanders has made him just that little bit over confident.

Not saying that it is necessarily a completely bad thing.

Of course Preston, because he is what makes the media's heart throb look good.

Bulldogs are a very average team that are going to be extremely hard to beat all year with the NRL refereeing support they're getting.
There's the obvious penalties, 6 agains, foul play interpretations , but there's also the more subtle allowing them to move way early in defence while holding the opposition back, forward pass interpretation, ruck speed etc.
Referees have never had such power in the history of the game, all so that the NRL can manipulate the narrative to their own commercial ends.

That was the most manipulated game I have seen in quite some time. I thought some of the six agains awarded to the Dogs last night were soft enough as it was, however the raiders could not buy one. And when they did get one, it was on zero or 1st tackle

i think if that was a dry track raiders blow the doggies away last night, their attack relies heavily on throwing the ball around but were heavily restricted in the weather
