Not watching but I imagine this will be the case ....tonites lopsided teams....in saints (full strength) souths (reggies) and the dogs game whoever theyre playing...different benefits on both sides of the coin i guess

There are a few very good juniors pushing for first grade in this game.
I’m not sure that if Penrith start slow again like they did last year, that they’ll be able to make a late season run if injuries happen.
This has been a pants down spanking. They're all grown men, and Ivan should be worried.

I won't make any assumptions till they play round 1, they usually pull your pants down year after year just like the Storm do.
Im sure ivan is loving the experience his depth is getting against match hardened NRL players...cant buy that.
Hed have known the cowboys would field their top.liners before vegas
I hope I'm not wrong when we play them. Round 2 looks like a challenge though.

Yep and decided to still run this squad..
This is tactical as he has to field teams that look a lot like this around origin.
They’ll grow from this and be better prepared later in the year.

These 1st round byes really suck, a week behind everyone else in match fitness is a disadvantage in my opinion.
Then you're one short during the season when you really need a freshen up/niggles rest, PVL can shove it.

Cowboys were playing a cup team but have strike all over the field. No easy wins in NRL
All I can think is how crap it is that Cowboys first grade team are already playing a trial, and will have a proper game of footy weeks before our first grade team even get a game
Having the bye in round 1 again is such BS. Cowboys are going to be weeks ahead of us match fitness wise by the time we get to round 2
if I was Benji in round 1 I'm doing a full trial game, full NRL squad getting reps in.
