It goes along way in avoiding the stomach turning culture that inhabits society today
It goes a long way in avoiding hearing about rubbish such as Big Brother, the Kardashians, Gangnam styles and One Direction. I know about these things as a result of working with kids
Another example of how backwards society is is people comparing One Direction to the bloody Beatles :crazy
Its a sickening comparison and is an insult to the most influential band that ever lived. As a music junkie i feel like i was ripped off by having to live in this era. **I'd give anything to have grown up in the late 60's-early 70's with bands like the Beatles, Stones, Doors, and the emergence of bands like Queen, The Who, Kiss**…..sure it was the era of ABBA, but hey, least there were no bimbos who walked around using small dogs as fashion accessories and the charts weren't dominated by a bunch of singers using auto-tuning.
With the exception of technology, there is nothing in this day and age that has gotten any better, its actually gotten worse
And don't forget Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Yes, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, the Eagles, Credence Clearwater Revival - the list is endless! I was lucky to have been a part of this era. Good times indeed!
