Half the team could have got the three points and everyone else could have got the two and three….but gee Bateman does a lot of little things in both attack and defence that go unnoticed. If I had to make a call tonight on the 123, I agree with the above

He makes a lot of those extra effort plays .
Also stings pretty hard in defence.

Really difficult tonight with so many really good performers, but here goes:

3 Brooks. With the benefit of a dominant forward pack he delivered big time tonight
2 Bateman. Tough and skilful
3 Utoikamanu. Laid a great platform. Strong with and without the ball

With the continued development of Bula, Tupou and To'a plus the rejuventation of Nofoaluma I don't think our backline is as bad as some might previously have thought.

Credit also to Brandon Wakeham, in addition to a good general game his goal kicking tonight was excellent

Agree…for too long we lacked attacking threat outside, placing to much pressure on halves to come up with big plays.

Multiple threats make the defence stand off as they don’t know who the danger player is.

Given it's a bye, if anyone is jumping on looking for content, maybe we could do a 3 2 1 of the one percenters we loved from the Cowboys game. I for one would like to stretch out the joy of it a little more. I'm talking about key little moments or plays that miss mention because there was so much great there.

I listened to the Matty John's podcast that was posted and they talked about Api's coaching of Brooks and Stefano during the game. They're examples I'm thinking of. Api's look to the right, then look left out the back, before going short left to Stef. I'm keen to read some more insights here.

My 3 are:

3. Bulla's full body ball and all tackle of a run away Holmes.
2. Brooks take of that awkward mid-field bomb.
1. Toa's kick through for Joe's no try.

PS I have been to every Leichhardt game in recent years, I have my same spot on the hill. I have suffered there. Last Saturday was my first miss in years as I am os.
