Im liking him too. Loving the mongrel in defense as well, he was smashing peep last night and I was shouting at the tv "was that Brooksie again giddyup"

Brooks is finally coming out of his shell. Good on him.

3 Laurie
2 Jet
1 Seyfarth
Special mentions: Entire starting pack each getting over 100m, led by Twal; Brooks for good game control.

Is this the third week in a row Brooks has featured in most peoples top 3?

Kicking game has been outstanding and a massive improve to what we saw the first couple of rounds. Been whacking and (most importantly) sticking all his tackles. Still has area's he can improve on but credit where credit is due he has been improving each week. Well done Luke

3 Luciano
2 Brooks
1 Laurie

HM: Garner (most improved player in this team IMO), Twal, Seyfarth

DM: Talau and Mikaele 2-3 standard drop ball's a game.

Not anywhere near enough credit given to Liddle here. That's probably the best game he's ever played. His decision making and passing was excellent and the crispness and guile of his service was at the heart of our fluid play. I think he was our best.

I've also got to admit that Mbye at 5/8 is looking better for our team. It's not because he's a better 5/8, it's because Doueihi makes our edge so much more threatening. Weird that has worked but I see it now with this move stretching the defensive line and creating lots of problems for defenders. It will be interetsing how this goes when our forwards aren't as dominant (wow, our forwards were actually dominant), but this setup seems to make best use of our players because Mbye just wasn't having an impact anywhere else.

Please can someone explain to me what I'm not seeing about twal. I don't see him do anything special ever. People say he's a workhorse but I feel that's a word for saying he's just average. When I look at other 10s they do alot of work but they also have aggression either in defence of attack, or they have a good passing game or run a great line. Just workhorse for me isn't enough.

He maintains his levels throughout the game. It's like there's no off switch. Sometimes I think he pushes too far with his post contact meters when a quick play the ball would be more beneficial. But I guess props aren't necessarily paid to be aware of the next play. He does his job well.

This is his role. If he had more impact with his runs or a better passing game or something he would be a really good prop.

He is a good tradesman and deserves a spot in our top team. The problem is that him and Tamou are too similar. Workhorses with minimal mistakes who can play longer minutes. We need some props who have an impact. I think Twal is better at that workhorse role than Tamou. I suppose our pack might improve as Tamou moves on over the next couple of seasons and guys like Stef U improve.

Fair enough. Another question. I got the impression that our attack structure was different, the passes went deeper into our line and mbye was sweeping out the back more. For me it was clearly trained and not improvised. I've been wondering all year why we were always just passing one out to flat footed forwards. I feel this has changed. Why did the coach wait so long to do this?
