3- Marshall
2- Leilua
1- Musgrove

Marshall was in everything, shaped everything well and looked threatening from start until the end of his spell

Leilua is a superstar and is an awesome pick-up for the team - I always said at his best he was second behind Inglis but now with the latter gone and Latrell moving to Fullback he is the best centre in the game.

Musgrove i am not surprised about, I was singing his praises when he signed with the club - He's had a rough season and a half, two seasons but he is a quality player and will push to start.

Speaking of Ex-Souths players, Adam Douiehi is another big signing for the Tigers - I rate him especially highly and has just about everything.

He isn't the quickest man on the planet but will play like a hybrid Fullback, Five-Eighth which will defer attention as much as possible from the fact speed is one of his only weaknesses - He played really well today, strong on first contact and directed the team well in that second half.

Interesting comment regarding Benji TR. You are more objective than us biased supporters. I think Benji is at his best when he picks his moments. Today I thought he was too dominant and negated opportunities for Brooks.

Brooks really needs to increase his presence on the game though, he is the halfback and shouldn't be waiting for anyone to give him control!

Yep that’s true. I think, rightly or wrongly, he is intimidated by Benji dominance (and Farah)

I agree fully Steve, I think it may come from him being a Tigers fan as a kid and the memories of 2005.

He is at the point though now that to continue to develop he needs to demand the ball. He also needs to work on his passing game as he creates most of his opportunities through his running game, he needs to start to create room for the players around him! I'm saying that as a fan of his but that is where he needs to go to reach the next level. His primary passing play is hitting Garner with a short ball, just needs to create a bit more variety to his game now!

I’m a fan as well so my critique comes from already admiring his play.
Two things:
1. His passing game is one dimensional- fast flat pass that sticks or doesn’t.
2. He does not own the big moments and/or steer the team home in last 20 minutes
These things will take him to origin level player imo.
Wish we’d get Andrew Johns to mentor him like every other club out there

One dimensional is exactly how I describe his passing game too, if he doesn't have the backline set for the short ball/ out the back option play he runs the ball. When running I'd like to see him bite back into the defense with runners hitting the holes outside him giving him options to pass in less structured situations.

Its not Brooks fault he can only pass to short players like himself

Could the issue mentioned about his passing game be due to the ball runners not being quicker than the players marking them ...so he has smaller windows or smaller gaps to hit

Wah ? He scored an individual try when the score was 10-6. Lol Also the reason he didn’t over call Benji was the fact the Leilua Bro’s were destroying the right edge . Why would you over call them ? You guys say youre objective , but do you actually watch ? He controlled the game and poked down his side when the bLl came his way . He defended well and , the game was won when Benji was on the bench .
His first half kicking was poor , until I realised the breeze strength. Garner went off early with a cut , hence the tape . Mbye went off with concussion . And NZ defended well , down that edge . Far out guys .

He can only do the plays they run too. Most of the more creative plays tend to be on Benjis side, they run the simple stuff on the left edge and he does it well. He also had Chee Kam outside him most of the game as well as plenty of other players while the right side stayed the same. His passing game might be ‘one dimensional’ but it’s effective he was one of the top try assisters last year according to Fox league. He took over in the second half and did good.

I think that definitely plays a part, especially when you look at his main play for creating breaks for others is the short ball to a wide running second rower. Both Garner and Lawrance run really good lines and hit the hole a speed. He also occasionally take the wrong option in this situation as well by hitting the short player when he should hit the long or hitting the long when he should hit the short. That is a problem a lot of halves have though, for years Benji would hit the wrong player as that is one of his pet plays as well!

Yes he is near the top in try assists, but he hasn't seriously been in discussions for rep honours. That should be a huge goal of his now and to get there he needs to improve aspects of his already strong game!

When he gets the ball coming down right in front of the try line it’s a good kick but too often it’s further out than that. Needs to just stab it low into the corner sometimes

Well one things for sure
The signings that Madge has made stood up today
Most people picking BJ and Musgrove in thier top 3
LL also got a few mentions
I know it's only a trial but these guys look to have added plenty to our team
The best thing is with all the new signings these players haven't played to many games together so you would think that they can only get better as the season goes on
Can't they ?
Although the warriors were a bit light on with thier forwards due to injury, it's still a good sign for us the way our Forwards seemed to play
Nofoluma what can I say,. I hope he games some confidence from this game. A couple of tries after an early defensive lapse.
Well heres looking forward to 2020
Go get them boys

He's a perfect 13 despite being smaller.
Defence is hard as a rock.
Can ball play.

I don’t agree though . I’ve said this before , now garner runs the under line , and Doueihi sweeps this will create lots of space . We made a half break Down that side early before Mbye went off.

He needs to increase his short kicking contact percentage . He mis hits a lot .
The thing with hitting the wide players on block plays , is if the defence is shuffling well , then you have to come back in . If your backs aren’t creating enough second guessing in the defence line , then you just shuffle across because you know the bloke inside and out has it covered. Throw in a good centre ,and a ball playing fullback and things change quickly.
He needs to run more , and trust his sweeping players and outside backs . He and teddy had a lethal combo .

But seriously...

3- Marshall
2- Leilua

Garner had a knee issue ...didn't you see when they slowed it down same as Mbye

Way to focus on the wrong thing ? Cool my point made around that is still the same. The left edge was a bits and bobs most of the game

Well there was few wrong things to focus on ..sometimes that happens ..Walters pass to left side isn't as accurate either

Mbye's injury was concerning ......same knee he had issues with last season

Garner is probably our best hole runner ..if he is missing it is another concern

Definitely agree with all that . If Mbye can be the player we know he is , and Garner continues his development, Doueihi and Thommo doing thier thing , I think the “wrong option” won’t happen anywhere near as often , and the left foot step against the grain , might reap some sweet rewards for Luke.
Both edges seem like they will be a handful.
We seemed like a cat toying with a mouse for most of that game . Even with the crazy penalty count. It’s really exciting . We haven’t seen us look a level above an NRL side in years. Despite it being a trial.
Even the big wins last year felt like , half the opposition not caring , and half us being good.
