30,000 baying for blood over Tim Moltzen

TIM Moltzen was readying himself to confront a hostile crowd of about 16,000 people in Wollongong. Well, you can now double that figure.

Negotiations have started to play the anticipated round three match next season between Moltzen's Wests Tigers and rivals St George Illawarra at either the SFS or SCG.

Dragons fans remain angry that Moltzen signed with their club before wriggling out of the deal to return to Wests Tigers. The game, to be played in mid-March, was originally scheduled for WIN Stadium but high winds in September damaged the grandstand and forced the closure of the arena.

Saints will be obliged to relocate several games early next season.

Dragons officials want the Tigers game played at the SCG although the SFS would seem more appropriate given there is a Sheffield Shield match between NSW and Queensland at the SCG between Match 1 and 4.

A rock-hard cricket pitch in the middle of the field has the real potential to cause injury. A match between these two rivals at the SFS could attract between 30,000 and 32,000 fans. Saints will probably use Kogarah for some of their other deferred matches. The SFS game will also pit Jamie Soward and Benji Marshall.

LOL. So if they expect 30,000 fans there, why would every fan be hating on Moltzen? I think it's safe to say 15k of the 30k will be in Moltzen's corner

Sweet so we get to take Moltzen back off them and now they have to take their home game against us to our home ground. Fantastic!

By all means, I'd much rather play the Queens at the SFS. Are they really that dumb.. why not just move the game to Kogarah?

12,000 x $25 might have something to do with it.

The Clowns will move it to Kogarah," Home ground games are more important than the rival fans of the game or Money" will be their quote…..

The truth is they are scared of us and our 20k fans.

It's sad that it takes a contract dispute to bring 30,000 to a game.

Saints have form for this….they'd prefer to play at their suburban grounds than take games with an anticipated high crowd away to a bigger venue
Hope it is at SFS....that would make the first 6 games:

Leichhardt - Sharks
Gosford ---- Manly
SFS---------Dragons
Cambo----Raiders
SCG--------Souths
SFS--------Broncos

That looks good to me, hope that's the way the first six rounds are scheduled.

The dragons fans should all stop their crying and move on. If Tim didn't want to be there in the end it was the best result for them, Tim and us. Those dragons fans like to cry about everything. In their eyes its like the world v's the dragons and to them they are always the ones who loose out, and I love it! Hahahaha. They are in for 1 hell of a year, especially without Bennett!
