I can't imagine anyone beating Lawrence over 100m. I have not seen Taumata in full flight recently though.

I've got no reason to doubt Taumata, when he drops the hammer his acceleration is simply brilliant. Mataka is the surprise packet there, it would be nice to see him in open space with only a fullback in front of him. Lawrence is a given and I reckon Rhys Pritchard would be up there, he's got very good acceleration and can go length of the field. Daniela is no slouch either.

I think Taumata would be one of the fastest in the club over 100..

Marshall seems to have lost a little pace this year i rekon…

Benji

With a football in their hands and being chased by someone like Slater….there can be only 1....

Benji has slowed down a lot. He was almost chased down by Grothe with a 15m head start and Thurston managed to peg him back up Nth as well.

Tuqiri has got quite a motor though and as has Lawrence.

Heighno's also got some legs on him as well, watching him leave Minichiello for dead a fortnight ago was awesome.

Looks to me like Benji does a quick calculation when he gets a break as to whether he is going to go for it or not - based on field position, who is chasing him and how much energy he feels at that point in the game he either pins his ears back or starts thinking about options. A few times this season he has slowed down, but wait until he gets a chance with plenty of running left in his legs, he'll motor alright.
