A little gripe.....with club media opportunities.

We are the wests tigers.Two great tradtions combined to create one club.

Like it or not the tiger and the Magpie is our history and you can never take the Magpie off the shoulder.

The greatness of our club is the fact that we can call on all our legends from wests and Balmain.

Long live the WESTS TIGERS.

That is woefully small minded.

I was a Balmain fan who is willing to drop the gold from our strip and you can't get rid of the stupid magpie on the shoulder? Aren't the colours you carried into extinction being used enough for you?

You have the word Wests in the team name, and the colours you carried at your end. But you wanna keep the magpie…

It is that mentality that will never see the club go forward.

For a start I dont see why we would get rid of the gold from our jerseys..
nor do I see what is the big deal about having a magpie on the side of the jersey.
Anyway an irrelevant converstion because I dont see either going anytime in the near future.

Love the discussion... agree with the op that orange would better make us stand out in media opps and make us more distinctive. I do get a big fed up with so many different jerseys, new ones every year, different colours etc... I do understand why though and I do support playing in Gold jerseys for some games and Black for others... but why the white one?

Keep the magpie... it's part of our heritage and doesnt do any harm does it?

I think it keeps the club moving forward in that keeping our heritage, keeping loyal supporters, families etc… interested in the game and club. I know too many people who have left our game and no longer support league because of things that happened in clubs like Manly, Norths, Souths, Illawarra etc...

It can't hurt... and every bit of help is good.

Sorry, I meant to write how does it keep the club FROM moving forward. I definately don't want the Magpies removed from the sleeves.
