A tough call needs to be made

Lets get a bit of perspective here.

Firstly, the Rhino was playing in the middle earlier in the year and not on the edges due where he is best suited due to injuries in the forwards. We had no go forward and playing in the middle of the field is not his best position.

Would you think Watmough could play as effectively without the big boppers sucking in defenders in the middle of the field?

Secondly, the man hasnt played for how many weeks and you expect him to be at his best and up to match fitness?

This man was touted as a rep player and scouted by many teams including the bulldogs. He has worked his backside off and you critize his attack.

Shame.

Lets give the bloke a break… he was coming back from a long-term injury as well... let him get some match fitness & then judge...

It's nothing to do with him coming back from injury, he's been running into markers and crippling our attack all year.

Is it that hard to at least _try_ and hit a hole?

I agree that he stiffles our attack at times.

However we need him in our team because of his experience and stability.

Something we sorely need.

why is it with Marshall he gets 4 seasons to get his confidence back and yet with Heighno he gets 1 week after being out for a few and playing injured before that. If we dropped blokes who stifled our attack after one week then Marshall wouldnt be with us now!! GIve it a rest.

Can we continue this streak with a forward who constantly takes all the momentum out of our attack. A forward who just gets the ball and runs straight into the markers no matter what other better option is available? And then follows this up with a slow play the ball every single time. So many times we start to get a bit of go forward then this guy takes the momentum away. He has to be dropped.

Im sick of saying it and all of u are probably sick of me saying it, so im going to really try and not bag the guy again this year after this thread, but Chris Heighington must not be in our team.

WOW…I don't know what to say other then just....WOW!

The least u say the better champ.

He probably needs to add another string to his bow but to suggest we should consider dropping him is pretty ridiculous i think.

Yeah that's a strange one because last year Rhino made quite a few linebreaks and seemed to hit the holes quite well. Not sure why he would want to change that this year.

He gets the pass, takes it forward, nears the defence, gets into that crouching possy, starts taking baby steps i think he thinks is footwork, and then gets tackled….he was frustrating me last night, hes reminding me more of Fitzy propping at the line.

Looks like Don has missed the point, and is getting heavy too. Tough.

Typical internet tough guy, throwing around insults.

As for Rhino, I definitely wouldn't drop him but he should not be playing 80 minutes. As HT said, injury is no excuse for running at markers and submitting like a two year old… he's been doing it for a fair while.

LoL. the initial post makes perfect sense. he does tend to run straight into the markers.
the tigers used to do this often a few seasons ago. i read an article (i think it was in RL week) where they asked sheens whats the go with that n he said it was to force the same 1 or 2 players to make multiple tackles in a row to tire them out.
it kinda makes a bit of sense sometimes, but heighno does it too often.
but dropping him is a no go. we need him in the team.
