Aaron Woods' try celebration falls flat

Queensland has enjoyed a decade of Origin domination so it's no surprise some of the Blues players haven't mastered the art of the post-try celebration. When centre Michael Jennings crossed the line to win Origin III in the final minute, the NSW team was understandably ecstatic. Blues players from all over the field swarmed on the try scorer and wrapped their arms around him. But Aaron Woods became the unsuspecting subject of ridicule with his attempt to join the love-in a moment too late.

The 194cm-tall and 105kg giant leapt towards his teammates and soared majestically through the air only for the group to edge over ever so slightly. He missed them completely and fell to the ground like a stage diver without a crowd. The moment was not missed by fans who quickly posted the failed try celebration on social media.

haha yeah it looked silly. Hell get great mileage out of it though being interviewed on every sports programme for the next month.

One thing that struck me even weirder though….they did not swarm on the try scorer. Jenko was totally left out of the celebrations and at one stage was standing on his own 10 meters away from the celebrations and continuing to walk away from them. It was like he has been alienated from the group...anyone else notice this?

Yes mate, it was because Corey Parker and Maloney started a bit of a scuffle and players started coming in on it. Left Jenko pumping his chest all by himself which looked fairly awkward!

Yes i noticed Jenko all alone pumping his chest, it looked so weird because we are so used to seeing hi fives, prison bars,Goanna crawls and then we see poor old Jenco celebrating like a man with the plague. i actually felt sorry for him. It was like he was saying in body language Ha Ha i am over here and need a cuddle

That was one of the funniest things I have seen in SOO. Totally missed the huddle and high five but didn't it matter he kept on celebrating anyway. It was hilarious.

If you look at Jennings he actually takes a turn to the left and walks away from everyone. People are making way too much of it.

Woods really has to get past this look at me phobia that he has ..he has been doing this last man jump on top of the huddle thing for years so the shot is of him, Can some advise him that looking at yourself on the big screen constantly is not a good look.Time to get a hair cut
and mature into the captain that we all know he can be , this reality should come home after last night as I thought it was not funny what happened more the highest ranking on the goose meter.
