Aaron Woods

So they signed Woods in exchange for Graham and Kasiano but might still lose Woods. Plus they punted Reynolds for Foran and look like losing Mbye. What a fiasco!

What do you think the chances are of Woods coming back? Is it likely?

I reckon Woods will be back in Tigers colours again…..I met him at one of the member meet and greets after a game at Campbo,he does seem very vague when you talk to him,but I got the feeling he was a Tiger through and through....the tosser manager he has is the main problem and Woodsy hasn't got the nouse to work out the crap the manager was feeding him...I would have him back because he did put in for the rest of the year he was here, not like the slime that cried mental health problems to get what he wanted...

Problem is its Brisbane, they don't often let go good top 17 players.

They somehow find enough money under the car seat to keep them.

They may lose Oates…

Hope to us. Great player

More likely the Roosters.

I would suspect that the roosters are out hunting.
In fact when I was reading "Paying Freight", I could only think of Easts and then Cronulla signing him. I think the Tiger Sharks are over, but I could definitely see Easts leaning on James Tedesco to get Woods under their fold.

Hey if we sign Oates and get Woods back, I will be more then happy.

Leaving aside the emotion for a moment, I just can't see him fulfilling a role that Cleary needs to be filled. His lateral defense isn't good enough for him to wear the '13' jumper and we have enough props at present. Maybe to replace Sue/Grant at season's end. But definitely would be surplus to requirements this year.
I think we have more pressing concerns to address in our roster than to worry about the return of Woods.

Yeah we do. assuming we get mbye, we still need a centre, dynamic 2nd rower and a solid dynamic prop.

The Oates to Roosters scenario is prevalent on a winger leaving. It's not hard to guess who.

Hard to say. Possible not certain. Obviously that leaves a lot of space.

Not sure if Ferguson is a blessing or a curse for them. Also not sure if they are punting Fergo, because they won't pay a real salary for him or Punting Daniel Tupou who has gone a little quiet.

The scenario as explained to me would see Oates come in for Ferguson. How they juggle their finances is of course a mystery for the ages…

They will let a ball boy go and that will give them plenty of room for Oates

And where does Ferguson go? I thought he just re-signed.

They will find a reason to get rid of him and send him to the Knights

It was only a 12 month extension to the end of 2018.

Tupou on the other hand extended by 4 years or something similar.

We need a quality back rower before a quality prop at this stage

The Woods situation will drag on a lot longer than the Ebye one. Unless some team gets an absolute bargain.
It will make great watching from where we sit.

Its interesting with Woods. They can shop him around but he doesnt have to go anywhere. They have offloaded Mybe, and the Morris boys wont be resigned. They probably may need to offload one more but clubs wont do them any favours and will probably be more likely to target Klemmer.
Foran is the real problem. He is so busted dont know what he is on but his best is way behind him.
If I were the Dogs Id move Moses on now. Get Carney on minimum wage till end of year and partner him with Foran. Their problems are in the halves there forwards have been doing a good job.

Agreed. The Dogs won't have as much blowback from signing Carney.
Foran, whatever is going on with him, he would benefit in having someone else drive the guys around the park.

Have we brought Mbye yet? Surely the dogs can squeeze Carney in now?
