played his best game in first grade tonight … really stamped his authority on the cows pack imo .... young groat .... the future looks good up front.....

I really rate this guy. His only problem has been his hands with a couple of games of droppsy. When he holds onto the ball he consistently makes metres.

I really like the look of how our pack is coming together. We seem to have a bunch of good young props plus Galloway to get us going forward. We also have some great backrowers in Ellis, Heighno, now Blair as well as Dwyer and maybe Fulton. I think our pack is looking solid and we should be able to get consistent quality go forward.

I thought he's looked a bit jaded in his last 3 games, as is expected for a young prop in his first full season. However, he hit back really well versus the Cowboys- well done Aaron!

He went off for the middle stanza. He would have went off at around 25 mins and came back on at 55 and played the rest of the game.

He was very good. I look forward to him, Groat and Galloway shining next season with a newfound impetus on size, aggression and forward gain. Finally our pack will be used effectively. Or so Sheens claims.

He is our best metre getter
Outshone galloway tonite
Thought he lost his way after he lost the whiskers but back tonite

Groat is apparently tipping the scales at 117kg, Woods I reckon would be 108kg or thereabouts. Both these young monsters, along with Murdoch-Masila will get stronger and fitter over the next couple of years and it's good to see the Tigers have some effective size coming through the ranks.

Stepped it up tonight Very good performance We just need to be patient with the young fellas Some nights will be diamonds and sone nights won't Give them 50-60 fg games and they will mature with more consistancy

The effort has always been there from Woods in 1st Grade, but tonight I think was the first time I saw him running good lanes & not getting hit front-on. Probably is starting to feel more comfortable, and he is now thinking more than just reacting to instruction.

Runs hard, tackles well. I see Woods being the new Todd Payten for us, without the halfback's hands. But a good work rate & reliable tackler.

Groat looks promising. Give him a few more games before we start to see what we get from him, but he certainly doesn't look out of place.
