Adam Blair 2013

Was just watching on fox a replay of the 06 Grand Final and noticed Adam Blair coming of the bench for the Storm.

I think he looked alot heavier back then. In 06 Adam would have 20, now at age 26 he looks lighter. Was this under the instruction of our coaching staff to turn him into a 80 min backrower.

In 2013 I would love to see him go back to his Storm playing weight, play abit more tighter and we will see the real Adam Blair.

Don't speak with intelligence too loudly or ul be accused of making excuses or accepting mediocrity.. That was a huge factor in Blair not being at his best this year, I mentioned it several times too..
Totally agree with u, hopefully the coaching staff gets it right next season

I'd love to see him go back to all things Melbourne. Attitude, weight, game time and effectiveness. If not, I'd like to see him just go back to Melbourne. #chur yourself.

I think Potter will be using him to his strengths which is in tight with short offloads to a supporting fullback and it was pretty clear his lack of weight was to his detriment. He just wasn't bending the line and although his defense was effective in terms of line speed and especially in the wrestle, you could see when he went in for the big shot it rarely came off because of this factor.

At the Storm he was playing 60-70 minutes a match and he seemed a few kilo's heavier. I think the extra few minutes at less weight definately impacted his game. You don't have to be too far off your best to be found out s little in the game of rugby league.
Here's hoping Potter can weave some magic and we'll see a stronger year from Blair and many others.

I agree with this.

I would be stunned if Adam Blair is not one of our best forwards next year (barring injury of course). Too many runs on the board in first grade not to rise to the top at some stage.

I would also be stunned but for different reasons, which makes me wonder what price he would fetch if he was on the open market for 2013\. Or if any one was indeed interested at all?

I will reserve judgement until the new coach works his mojo.

Look at Benji's running game to see the affect our coach has had in recent years.

I just think he was lazy. He tends to hide in matches & then does a few hit ups to improve his stats by the end of the game. I really do hope he lives up to the hype, for me he is a flop…
