WESTS Tigers coach Tim Sheens has laughed off the hyped showdown between his import Adam Blair and Manly - tipping the whole thing will "fizzle out" at Gosford this Friday night.
One of the most feared enforcers in the NRL, Blair will this weekend come face-to-face with the Sea Eagles for the first time since he and Glenn Stewart traded punches in the infamous ‘Battle Of Brookvale’ last year.
While injury is expected to sideline Stewart from the Bluetongue Stadium blockbuster, Blair – who was playing for Melbourne in the stink that saw both protagonists banned for three games (although Blair served a total of five games because he was also suspended for another fight during the same match) - is a certain starter.
Not that any of this worries Sheens.
"I've said nothing to him," the coach said. "We haven't discussed it. We haven’t even discussed Manly as a team yet. It's all paper hype. You pushed it last weekend and it fizzled out. You pushed it last year, saying that Manly and us didn't like each other. That fizzled out as well. For you it's something to come up with a story. For us it's business as usual. A valuable two points and we'll be more worried about that than what happened last year.”
