Dont get me wrong...theres been more rhan enough time btween the HB stuff and now/seasons beginning for it to.be put right away
Im just highliting the players DO KNOW when this crap occurs as some here reckon they wouldnt have a clue and it shouldnt be a factor
Just glad it wasnt 6 weeks into season 26 when it blew up
Even more so their managers are the ones that are acting in their "best " interest as far as negotiating goes. And let's face it the perception around the club off the field leaves a lot to be desired despite any bonding the players may or may not have with each other and the coach.

Of course it's a distraction, when you have constant turmoil in your workplace it has to make it harder to focus on your objectives.

Fine to say that the players are professionals and that they should be able to focus on the job they are paid to do, but regardless of whether you are a Rugby League player or a Rocket Scientist it's hard to just get on with it when the people that ultimately run the show are Space Cadets.

It has has to be remembered that most of the players that we are talking about are relatively young and have very little life experience and with the knowledge that a career in the NRL is generally relatively short, coupled with other uncertainties like the actual security that an NRL Contract provides, the last thing that you need is constant disruption and interference at board level.
We are always told that the difference between winning and losing are doing the 1%ers and I would say that turmoil or incompetence at board level could influence this. I know in my own career when I have had a poor board or CEO I tend to start thinking about an exit plan.
