Well fellow forumers so far we have had a disappointing 2015 in regards to victories…we have had many discussions about coaching structures and players....we have vented our different arguements as to our poor performances, the causes, the players and the coaching staff...

What I would like to say in regards to our admin, and correct me if I'm wrong, while we as supporters have been in limbo so to speak and being slightly disallusioned as to the direction the team and club are going...I have not seen or heard one word from MAYER,the board or Moss in regards to giving us a reasonable explanation to the way the team is performing and why,ok some will say it is Taylor's job,he is the coach...but in reality, the club gets my money for membership and merchandise etc and I would love to be given some sort of verbal support from either MAYER or Marina Go as to our plans and tactics heading into the back halve of the comp....lets face it if these two can't see the fan base is severely upset at the moment then they really need to move on or face the fans and give them something to at least resurrect some faith back into this club...where I work my CEO addresses members problems on a daily basis, surely an address by our Admin once a month isn't to hard to ask, just for the sake of keeping us informed of recruitment progress or financial updates and our position in general halfway through this season..I completely understand our team and club have had many problems that have accumulated over quite along time, and there is no quick fix for either of the problems, however a courteous update now and then would make me feel a whole lot better when we get a bad result on field or a poor crowd at games....

COMMUNICATION is not that hard...it's wether your prepared for the onslaught is what makes it tough..

Side note..I know there is a meet the coach etc etc...I can't go but would like to receive some sort of address from the top shelf Admin,it would make me feel part of the club that I pay to be a member of,and not feel as though they have my money and thank you very much, see you next year...

Easier to stay underground when things are bad and hope things get better and if they do get better jump up and tell the world your vision was never in doubt–---Well that is they way our club handles itself.

As I said before how boring must it be on forums where teams win more often than not, imagine talking about positives all the time

Guys, it's really not their place to discuss team performances if you want to ensure the coach has the right power and influence over the team. Plus, I've seen Mayer send out regular emails with lengthy updates on where the club is at. The administration, especially membership set up has improved. I've seen quite a few people on here overestimating how much a club owes them for their membership dollars or patronage.
Has anyone thought our fair-weather support and constant whinging is the real problem with the club??

I don't have a problem with team performance updates by the coach….financial, recruitment and the overall general status of the club does concern me...MAYER and co should have a press conference once a month to update us as to where we are at...emails and newsletters are compiled from behind a keyboard,I would like MAYER to have a face to face with the members, where he has to look them in the eye not from a computer monitor....

As for winging....as members we have a right to support or critise our club if it is needed, the other side of the coin is...don't give us numerous reasons to whinge....

Does anybody in the fan base really know what happened to the money the club which should have freed a large CAP space after players of the calibre of Blair, Marshall, Austin, Korobeite and Navajairo left our club? Has the money which was paid out to Sheens when he left the club before completing his contract also had an effect on our CAP financial situation? Is it possible for the fans to have some idea at least as to when the club expects to sign new players especially in the clearly deficient centre and second row positions?

These are the questions the Wests Tigers are obliged to answer to their fans.

No other club does it either TT. Like Hammertime said, it's left up to the coach to front the media, fans etc.
The WT board I'm sure has it's hands full, in trying to get the club back into shipshape. Everything is done behind closed doors. It's a business after all. I agree with you though, that it would be nice if we hear from them now and again, especially at times like this, when the team is doing it tough.
But i wont hold my breath :frowning:

The last thing Taylor needs is 'the full support of the Board'..

I thought we were on the right track of Administrators Administrate Coaches Coach and Players Play…guess not...

To us fans we look at our side and think how can we be under cap pressure? But because of the past mismanagement as paying overs for players , signing players to 4 or 5 year contracts has put pressure on our cap. As for the money freed up by Blair and Co most of that money went into resigning our young players and upgrading others. As for the new admin IMO they look to be heading down a better path as in resigning Lodge , Naiqama and Simona all for 2 years which should be the length of contract with an option for more. With this years playing group if you look at most of the good sides they have a few young players but they also have a heap of rep players or really good experienced first graders around them. I sure if we could sign another 2 class players to help our young guys then things should turn around for us…..... fingers crossed.

what the hell is grant mayer, our CEO gonna say?

yes, listen members I think our control of the ruck speed has been very ineffective combined with vulnerability of our edge defence. we're working hard to control the wrestle better in future weeks.

he has no clue what goes on at training, he handles the business aspect of the club.

he will presumably make another members update soon, commenting on how we're not going great and are working hard etc. not much more he can say

yeh a good thing about the current mob is they haven't re-signed the host of players coming off contract at the end of this year.. Hopefully they don't.

Also agree communication has been poor.

Want to know how and why the team is performing the way it is….listen to JT's press conferences after the games and previews before the games...all your answers are there!....Want to know how the WT are performing off the field...attend the AGM its free...Mayer also issues a CEO a "state of the nation report" to members every 2 -3 months....

Me wonders if we were winning would this post exist?

The previous Administration ****** the salary cap management and this current admin is fixing it that's been stated…what else do we need to know?

I think what True Tiger is trying to say is that given how poorly we have been performing it now falls on Meyer or the board to make some sort of statement on the coach and how long the club is happy to keep playing this poorly.

Spot on Newtown.

These are the same questions i have. Somethings dont add up and there is a lot of grey the club can hide behind as an excuse.

At the very least i would like to know how much of our actual salary cap the club is spending on players.

My guess would be 1 to 1.5m less than other clubs.

Obliged….lol....Can anyone provide my one example of any Club that has disclosed it's Salary Cap situation in such detail to it's Members....?

TITG,yes that is part of the question,I would really like to know how much revenue we have lost through poor crowd attendance because of the poor performance of the team…did Mayer include these takings in his forecast of up and coming events etc..they are not hard questions, but as a member I have a right to ask, just as some have the right to think their input is the right answer....

Administration...Administrates.....We will make an announcement regarding a signing..is it a new gardener, please feel free to let us know and at what price...

Coaches ....Coach.....now there is an argument within itself at WTs..

Players ....Play.......what? tennis, basketball or what is it they are playing at WTs..

I dont care for JTs post match blah,blah....I know how the team is travelling....I want Mayer to come out and tell us himself what is going to happen in the very near future regarding the whole club in general and how we are progressing financially....because it seems we have no money and recruitment is only a thought after 2016....

When we go onto the WTs site you see videos of players having their say...why cant Mayer or Go front up on a video and tell us,the members, what the board and himself really think of the progress made so far and if this team keeps performing the way it is will the membership diminish so much that we will have nothing to support....

We the members are paying Mayer to Administrate and the Board are there to oversee the business in general....I have a right to ask these questions and if some are happy with a very poor performing club to follow, then you are easily pleased....finally we were told everything will head in the right direction as soon as the independant board came in,I feel we as a club are going backwards and it is not only the on field performances, poor communication, poor crowds and loss of merchandise sales at games, the occasional dribble of positive feedback such as a new signing keeps me hanging in there..

I really dont care how the team is playing because Iam pleased to wait until the begining of 2016 to see improvement as much of this structure JT has in place takes time to achieve..my point is how much revenue will this club lose if there are poor crowds and diminishing member base..

I disagree..Mayer and the Board are not responsible for how the footy team plays. They appointed Taylor on a 3 year contract and he is 6 months into the contract…Nothing else needs to be said or done.

How the team is performing is for JT to state..he doe this in his press conferences and round previews. He will be reviewed at the end of the season.

No one promised us a premiership team this year...what we need to see is YOY improvement...and we are getting that this year.....so while the last 6 games results have been hard to swallow....we should just accept this is not out of line to what was expected.....

Hey Alexaki,I didnt ask Mayer for his opinion of the team, mate read the rest ….I asked how we are progressing as a club financially, comment when you think you have read the post properly...if the performance of the team leads to poor crowds etc has he got a plan to make up lost revenue or will it miraculously appear...we cant recruit or spend on players because we have no FINANCES..surely this is not a hard ask...can we become a financially viable club the way we are going its not hard Alexaki...
