All this controversy..

has perhaps overshadowed what was, in my opinion, one of our better games, and we probably haven't spent (or I haven' read) a lot about the last couple of performances, where we seem to at least compete for most of the game, which is a positive sign for the future. If we can pull off a similar performance against the broncs - assuming this debacle hasn't drained the enthusiasm out of the team - then we can certainly start to be a little more optimistic for the rest of the season.
I am not sure who was in the coaching box, but whoever he was, hats off to him. Seemed to rotate the squad pretty well (unless he had Noddy in his ear) and was riding every play - good to see the passion!!

I believe so. Very impressive at the presser. Plenty took notice. I expect it wont be the last we hear of him.

I thought that was our best performance of the year. Definitely playing a different style to earlier in the year. I’m intrigued for what 2023 may bring

We let some soft tries in which was concerning, however scoring 5 was great and 4 of them were high level. Defending the 10 minutes a man down was also impressive. Our stats were very impressive.
I agree, that was our best team performance this year.

Yep it was great to see from the whole group and awesome to see Laurie really show what he can do.

I know some are quick to jump on cowboys playing poorly with errors etc but I hate that argument, they are no 2 and we knocked them off.

They played poorly yet scored 27 points, when we played well …doesn’t hold water. They made some errors but that was due to us running around and through them with the ball, (11 guys ran over 100m and we broke nearly 50 tackles) as well as getting in their faces in defence.
The people claiming they played poorly were saying similar about NSW in game 3.

Great comment Merlot. It is the way the WTs always played. Fighting back two games in a row demonstrates good spirit within the squad. It's nice to win but if you don't, what the team did on Sunday would not have gone unnoticed by players considering joining WTs.

Due to a dismal year and a gutsy performance last start , with a purists dream finish to a game , there was no way everyones second favourite team/general public along with us phycos were going to let this one through to the keeper.
NRL & CO have been caught and bowled. 👆/☝️

He's an assistant coach - Has been for a long while - There's a thousand of them.

No one is going that far but it was as plain as day that he is someone that commands attention and in terms of coaching that's an asset.

I agree the Tigers did well and with a man down they held on for dear life and worked well defensively as a team, but lapse of concentration by Brooks gave away a simple try which was disappointing to say the least.
