Aloiai

Very weird from Josh, it really seems like someone has hacked his life and social media account... the way he is acting is soo out of character.
Over on the silvertails page there are some fans who aren’t completely impressed by his antics.

I doubt his hacked, more likely fed up and angry, probably will regret it in the coming days

They better not let Aloiai get an early release I’ll be fuming

I don’t think they will.

Not like we’re gonna win the premiership next season. Doubt we get a decent player in return either

Absolutely. Don’t even want a trade. Will be good for the club moving forward if we stick to our guns and just flat out refuse the release

That would send a message.

Oh no look at his insta story.

Don’t have Insta. What does it say?

It's a photoshop of him mowing a lawn saying he will "I'll make super, It's a super fast track boys"

What does that even mean?

I think it's a pathetic comeback from Aloiai to Lee H's comment that he can mow the lawns at Campbelltown and Leichhardt if he refuses to play,

I think the confusion was because Josh Aloiai is that dumb he originally wrote it as 'I'll make super' instead of I'll make sure. It didn't make sense how he first wrote it, but he since fixed it.

Yeah that threw me off lol.he fixed it later.embarrassing himself.

LOL ! What’s the old saying ? Better to let people think you a fool , then to open your mouth and remove all doubt ?

Its all so over the top, he is basically making sure his 2021 playing contract will be untenable so he gets the upgrade from Manly.

And his "mate" spun the line that the deal with Manly was nothing like figures being currently talked about.

Who is his "mate?"

Tiga4eva - has become very quiet.

Suspiciously quiet IMO. Noticed something 2 days ago. @tiga4eva when asked by avocadoontoast if Aloiai is leaving, Tiga4eva's response was........"I’m not sure, but I seriously doubt he ***ever wants to pull our jersey on again***. He’s still contracted for 2021".

Curious turn of phrase, strangely prophetic? #ratintheranks?

EDIT: Just noticed @needaname had already made this observation. I was a bit late.

Here's a thought......Maybe @tiga4eva is Josh!!!! Da Na!!!!!!!!!!

His profile shows that he has been here since 2009.
if he had only been here since a lot more recently I would suspect he could possibly be Josh.

No he hasn’t . I remember when he moved across mid season from the eels .

Was referring to tiga4eva's profile on this forum, not how long Josh has been with us.

I don't get it you SIGN a contract and you should stand by that till it ends or tragedy strikes. It's just spitting on the contract and the club. Disgusting and immature behaviour from someone I believed was heavily underrated and also one of my favourite tigers.

Funny what happens to these people of faith ( matterson & alioia) when money gets dangled in front of them.

We're trying to get blokes to come here that have contracts for next year elsewhere. Everyone does it, some better than others.

God get it right.
Yes we do it but “With permission” from their existing clubs to negotiate.
Can you get that this is not the case here???

They could negotiate for 2022 17 days ago. It looks like he has agreed and now wants out for next year. Isnt that the same as us signing Lauire for 22 and now he wants out for next year?

I know you're a glass half-empty sort of guy but they're not remotely similar. I don't really need to explain do I?

If you dont mind.

I'll do it for him, its in the last paragraph of this release. You can work it out from there.

Even if half the rumor's are not true, it's still ugly. JP talks about the importance of the organizations people:

https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2020/09/10/ceo-justin-pascoe-our-people-are-our-greatest-asset/

but here we are with a future leader of the club being low balled and given a deadline....Seems odd.

Strap in boys, gunna be a tough (er) couple of seasons.

OK. JA wants out of his contract for 2021 and has started behaving like a brat to get his way a la Matterson. As far as I'm aware Daine Laurie has not been announced as signing for WT from 2022 although rumours are saying that he has agreed to terms. Laurie has not made any demands of Penrith as far as we are aware nor has he declared he'll never wear the jersey again. I'd imagine WT would like to have him for next year and will negotiate with Penrith to that end. Penrith can agree to a release if they choose. This is similar to Wests trying, in vain, to get Stefano from the Eels this year. Parra were within their rights to refuse.

Oh, so Laurie's and Alioa's actions are poles apart. No argument there. I meant us wanting a player to leave a club early on his contract is the same as what other clubs are doing.

Well according to the article, Manly have made his 2022, 2023 contract contingent on him getting out of his contract this year and then lied about talking to him about this year. A lot different to Laurie.

Manly are now denying this is the case, obviously aware the NRL would be breathing down their neck.

Why this entire saga has been a blessing in disguise, I for one am very happy with how this has turned out, from Lee directing the narative before the Media got a chance to, to us refusing on a release all the way to Aloiai and his low iq meme

@tigertye His probably drunk trying to type on that photo
