Positive stuff Milky.
Not necessarily sure if it bodes well for next year as it looks as though our recruitment will be limited in the off season. The younger fellas will be better for the run, especially learning to play post-Farah, but there'll be a few key things that will define next season outside of any recruitment decisions:
- Who will round out the top 25;
- Will Ballin hold up for the year, and will Liddle be ready to be thrown to the lions if Ballin claps out again;
- Will Moses and Brooks be able to take charge game in, game out;
- Improvement in defence.
Points 2 and 4 are most important for mine. If Ballin holds up for the year we'll be well placed I think as he's still a quality player. Defence speaks for itself, Taylor has really nailed his colours to the mast now with the sacking of Kidwell so he really needs to realise improvement there after harping on about defence since his tenure started. It's probably the only area we've gone backwards in.
