lui isnt up to the top grade yet …. we all know moltz isnt a fullback.....its going to be a long year if sheensie persists in the current 17 ....moltz in the front line takes em on and goes through the gap ... try .............moltz in the line again try to fulton .... i hope your taking notes sheensie

I have never seen him have a good game yet…by the time sheens picks moltz at 7 another season will be down the toilet
and going by tonights effort and bringing back the likes of fulton and fitzhenry my opinion we will again only be there to make up the numbers :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

I'm surprised, even when things were looking bad tonight Lui was a highlight. A good start in my opinion.

Conflicting reports. Have to wait until I can get a copy of the game to see who is correct. This happened in the first trial as well. Half the people said Lui was great, the other half said he couldnt play A-Grade

Despite the fact he was playing fullback, Moltzen played a much better halfbacks game than Lui did. That try he laid on for Ayshford was class.

Lui was very good and much improved on last season. I see no reason at all to drop him. Some of his passes were great. The one which found Ayshford in the first half was outstanding. His involvement was good, he looked sharp and his kicking game was solid. Its the first game ive seen him play where i really think he showed something to build on.

On Moltzen, well its gonna be hard. The guy is a deadset 5/8 and looks great when in that position. Im prepared to forgive his mistakes this week, as he's usually solid under the high ball. We need to find a way to get him m ore involved.

Thats right motlzen is a 5/8 ,he is better little bit one or two passes of the ruck! we cant have motlzen at fullback, in the first half when he recieved his first kick he was looking for his wingers when the was no manly players in front of him and he just dosnt look confident on taking the hit up at all from fullback! i thought lui was solid, he is still young and learning. lets give him time

Lui was good I thought.

I thought people had been saying his defence is poor? I thought it was very strong tonight.

early stats say he missed 1 and tackled 15, not bad at all. If we can find a way to have Moltzen, Lui, Marshall and Farah in the one team its going to be impressive to watch.

Its time to stop bagging lui, he was good again tonight and is a real talent. He will get better each game and Moltz will chime in beautifully with him from the back..Its exciting..

Lui looked alot better than when I saw him play in the foundation cup couple of weeks ago, but I didnt think he 'great' either. He made a few deft moves, but in my mind Moltzen needs to be in that 7, not only is he lethal at the front with benji and robbie, but he is so weak defensively at fullback. Did he drop more than he caught???

I thought he looked good.

A lot better then at the end of last season.

You also have to remember, even though we won, our pack was dominated which wouldnt of helped Lui either.

Lui is improving quite well he doesnt combind as well with Benji as Moltzen though he seems solid but isnt outstanding yet, but he is still young its scary thinking how good he can become!!!

Thats my current opinion. I havent seen tonights game though. If Lui is talented as his form in NYC last year suggests, then I would love to find a way to play both Moltz and Lui in the side. The only logical way to do this is with Moltz at the back.

Did you watch the match ? Fulton would have been in anyones top 3\. Him and Gibbs defensively saved us from Manly scoring more points….enabling the dramatic comeback. When the Tigers stopped trying to outmuscle the opposition , and actually started to outplay them , thats when the momentum shifted. If the game went another ten minutes we would have scored 2 or 3 more tries.

Junior Moors was my only real concern of the night , caught out of position and dubious handling let us down. He would be my only change to next weeks team.
