Anasta's "experience and guidance"

i think he only has about 3 or 4 missed tackles for the year.
plays a huge part when the team has been known forever as a poor defensive unit.
in most coaches eyes anasta is the safe option at this stage

Maybe so.

Although against the Cows I thought we were fantastic in conceding only 4 points. Our best effort by far this season. This against a very good attacking outfit.

I think it is clutching at straws using his defence, but each to their own.

As I have stated elsewhere, Blake Austin is the goods NOW! If he had not suffered injury and the Penrith management had not changed, he would have been in their NRL team last year. The old management had big wraps on him.
He has been doing the number 6 job well in NSW Cup all year and he is ready.

I like Anasta to inpart his knowledge to the young ones at this stage. He is a steadying influence. Austin will take his time to get used to the combination and when his time comes, he will kill them. Meanwhile I will give him plenty of time to edge into his role. He is bought for the 5/8 role and he will be gloom properly for that. We can see that he is a future star at the West Tigers. I won't want to rush him now.Austin will win plenty of games for us later on. In this way, Austin will be very sure of his game whenever he gets on the field and be in a commanding position.

Austin will swap with Luani and play hooker. He did the same against the Eels and he did a mighty fine job also he is a great utility He can cover 5/8,Lock,Back Row,And Centre. If Austin is still killing it when Robbie comes back then Austin HAS to move to 5/8 their is no buts about it.

with farah out the odds of us scoring at our current rate is clutching at straws.
the odds are that you will need to defend a lower score.
luckily we scored 12 points from ints.
that's the logic

the spanner in the works is that anasta with the ball played like crap.

I am beginning to think that this Anasta/Brooks combo is like when a skinny chick finds herself a fat chick to go out with (not a nice analogy I know, but its the best fit)

Its like some other 5/8th will take the shine off the prodigal son

By the time Robbie comes back Brooks' apprenticeship will be over.

Did anybody hear Robbie last night on fox.

He said anasta has been enormous, he seems to be one of those players that must do a lot of talking, at training and in games.

For your captain to come out and say that about any player…. There must be a lot that we don't see.

I have noticed his and bodenes line speed and kick chases have been amazing.

That may very well be the case, but I for one would love to have an example of it, because watching the games and getting all the attacking injuries we have, I cant get past the lack of attacking options we have in the Anasta/Brooks paring at the moment.

Much much more to it all than the 80 minutes a week we see

If so, then how do you see thae lack of attacking options and the poor 5th tackle option coming from the Anasta/Brooks combination.

Do we wait for Brooks to come good as other suggest or do we input a player like Austin as 5/8th with instruction to take control of attack and 5th tackle options when Brooks doesn't deliver again.

I am more worried now with Austin going the 9 and nothing left to pick up for the Anasta/Brooks combo due to all the injury losses to our attack
