The refs gave some woeful penalties. The Eels forwards (especially Poore,) laid all over the man with the ball and they blew two soft penalties for our boys not getting off the player quickly enough. I'm almost certain that the powers that be were in (Shane) Haynes ear demanding that the Eels get every opportunity to win the game.

And the fact that Parra were playing for their season. Great effort by the boys to hold them out for most of the 2nd half. The Tigers really showed something in defence today.

Another thing I thought was poor form from the ref's were penalty's given for rakes. West were locking up the ball well in dominate tackles, it was the the attempted offloads that caused the drop balls..
