Andrew Fafita

Thought he was very impressive today and really stepped up on his debut. Had some very strong runs and didnt miss any tackles. Personally I hope Sheens plays him again next week and believe in a year on two he will be one of our best forwards.
Your thoughts on how he went and whether hell be playing next week?

What a stand out. Didnt let the occassion get to him or the fact he's playing against the bigger guys stop him from his barnstorming runs we grew so accustom to last year.

Fafita was fantastic - finally a big bulky forward who can hit the line at speed, break through tackles and cause havoc in the defense.

No doubt SuperCoach will have him playing reserves for the next 18 months before selling him to N Qld.

"The boy did good." Confidence was never going to be a problem and he showed plenty. Well done mate

Should be there next week if their fair dinkum.

He looks like a gun. Him and Schirnack have to be there.

A rampaging prop forward who goes up the guts and a backrower who runs hard and with speed.

Apart from the Try he scored, I didn't think he looked fantastic. I thought Schirnack was the better player out of the two.
That said I think he had a decent game

Definately did enough to be on the bench next week. But he'll need a big game to retain his spot if history is any guide. Sheens has a habit of giving young forwards one or two games then dropping them no matter how good they go.

He played great. He is made for this game. What a talent. On debut and was busting tackles like a seasoned veteran front rower. He excites the hell out of me. He needs to stay in first grade. If he does, there is your Rookie of the Year.

I have had massive wraps on this kid for a while and i thought he played really well hope MR SHEENS has a look at the video and realises how good he played and puts him in for friday nyts match..

By the way it's Fifita. For some reason in team lists it always has Andrew Fafita and David Fifita. Well they are brothers you know!

I to thought he went well. Also Flanagan played a top game.Maybe they both can make the run on side next week.We didn't play well for at least 40 minutes, once the Roosters got on top we battled.Yep it was hot day,but no excuses.Next week….....

Out of all the Tigers to make their FG debut in the last 12 months, Fifita has looked the most comfortable on debut IMO. He doesn't care who he's playing against, he just goes out there and runs and hits as hard as he can. I'd definitely have him on the bench for the Eels game, especially considering Ellis is injured.

I don't have any pre-conceived ideas about him - and only watched the game on TV - at the very least he looks really promising.
[edit] Oh - and yes I would like to see him on the bench this Friday…
