Andrew Fifita

With the way he offloads, passes and runs the ball, does he possess the potential to be a modern day Arthur Beetson?

i said that earlier in another thread. he reminds me of artie a little. this guy is gonna be big. Hope his younger brother can come out of his shell as well.

He might look like Arthur in his latter years. Bryce Gibbs is a clone in build and height to Arthur in his early twenties.

I dont know how u can say gibbs is good he drops the ball and he doesnt do anything..

Andrew Fifita looked so strong last week he has no speed but so much strength

I am not talking about their football skills. Read my post again then put your brain into gear before you speak. :unamused:

SLIGHT EXAGGERATION DONT YOU YHINK.

I wasn't exaggerating anything. I just asked if he had the the potential, there's a huge difference there my friend.

I'd be signing him for as long as we can. It's rare to find props that handle 1st grade with the ease this guy has. He is only going to get better

bit difficult to compare but anyway heighno is considered country played with them before so he is not eligible

Heighno is Country.

Dean Young was chosen in front of him which is far more confounding.

As for City the only time they looked good was when Galloway & Gibbs were on the field

Yep Rhino is country as he is from that rural township called Umina… It's probably closer to Sydney than Campbelltown 😱pen_mouth:

Boundaries were drawn back in the day.

Do people remember how long it took to drive to the CC? The toll plaza at Cowan? It was well & truly country really until the mid to late 80's

I'd say regional more than country!

Toll plaza was at Berowra and the Berowra to Wahroonga bit didn't affect me since I lived at Berowra anyway. Trip time is about the same from that point as it is now, the new bit saves you 15 minutes or so for avoiding Hornsby. Mooney Mooney bridge saves a bit of time now as well. Berowra to Budgewoi used to be an hour, now it takes 45-50 minutes.

And it's country more so because Central Coast district is a CRL affiliated zone more than the distance. Berowra once threatened to leave North Sydney and join CC so it would have been classed as Country too!

I remember the 1 lane dog track in places that was the Pacific Highway.

Regional is probably a better call though

Fifita has come along very well over the last 2 years. Again, he was good for Wests during the bye last weekend although made the mistake of rushing up on Taumata late in the game and paid the price for it. He took 3 defenders with him everytime he ran the ball though and left Taumata eating grass in the first half when he swatted him for his try.

Another off-season in the gym under Folkes will improve his physique even further. David has a ways to go before he gets near Andrew, he's carrying a bit more pork around the waist and doesn't hit the line as hard as Andrew.

Pacific Highway is as it was! Thankfully in my youth the F3 was in place at least as far as Berowra. It was 60c toll as I remember.

I do miss the Oak shop at Peats Ridge though…

I said in another thread he reminds me of a young Steve Roach. He may even be a better runner of the ball than blocker was. I have said it before but re-signing this guy to a long term contract must be our highest priority. Young props like him don't come along very often.
