Andrew Fifita's smahing reunion with Adam Blair

As pointed out, the article has no Fifita quote and is as close to a beatup as possible.

But, if Fifita is still sulking around about how Blair is responsible for him leaving the club, as he has said in the past, then it just shows he hasn't matured one single bit.

And it would be off-putting to the Sharks. Its kind of like breaking up with your girlfriend and meeting someone else but still always going on about your ex

I'd probably be sulking still too after the club took up our 2012 option and then released him because Woodsy and Groat were deemed to be more important in the long run.

Especially going from a Premiership heavyweight at the Tigers to a bunch of misfits in the shire!

I can see him having a crack at Keith, young Groat and maybe Woodsy in RD 1 - but I'd back our boys in that battle!! I think he'll avoid Gareth, Blair and BMM (despite being great mates with Ben)!

He is a super talent - but you need grind at prop - so I'm sure that is what the Sharks are working on with him!

I do hope this article is just a media beat up. If not, it's a shame that young Andrew appears to be heading down the way of Willie Mason, spouting a bunch of banal, 'I love me' type comments to the press. For his own sake, I hope he didn't say these things. Perhaps, when he has given as much to the game as Blair has, he won't feel the need to mouth off anymore.

Not saying he hasn't been entitled to feel slighted, but how long do you hold onto it? besides, from what has been said he has a pretty good contract, its not like he was left on the scrapheap

Exactly… If he was cut to be picked up on the cheap that would have been disgraceful. But his contract is rumoured to be fairly good, as is Gibbs'. Gibbs IMO has more to be upset about, he'd rather be a Tiger for life... I don't see how nine years service doesn't get you a little credit, especially when your last two years have been showing rapid improvement.

In any case, what's done is done, and I'd like to see a bit of professionalism.

we also purchased Bell and he would be replacing one of them and if it was fifita , bell would be just as tuff and also does a lot of work when he came on last year for penrith , gibbs is the only loss

Gibbs and Fifita both got pay rises, , you cant keep players forever and you cant keep them all. Unfortunate but that is th edrawback of professionalism

Re Gibbs departure;

Remember we got fined for a salary cap breach last year. I think it was directly related to Gibbs and Farah not considered under the 10 year rule due to the lower grades not being considered as a part of Wests tigers (ridiculous). I think Gibbs was resigned before anyone new of any breachThis no doubt had an effect on our future planning and might have something to do with him being shown the door.

Funny how the jersey means so much more than the man.

Rewind 6 months and we are all saying hope Fifita smashes Blair. Now it is hope Blair smashes Fifita.

It is what the sport is all about. Love for the club and jersey. They are favourites when playing in our colours, as soon as they leave they are mortal enemies. I love it.

Fifita is a good player. In my opinion there is no doubt.

But this game will not just be Blair v Fifita, it will be the Entire Sharks pack trying to bash ours. Like they did in their first game against the Dragons last year at Shark park. They bashed them to smithereens. Something that we have not been able to do to the Dragons.

Andrew is a nice guy. I dont believe half the stuff that is written about him that he has allegedly said.

But with a Gallen inspired forward pack revving him and the other forwards up for the first game, dont be surprised if Fifita does come out and level Blair and anyone else. The Sharks will try big hit after big hit. It only takes a few blokes to rev up a side and with Gallen naturally aspirated, and Gibbs and Fifita primmed, the rest of the team will lift and hit hard as well.

I think game one is going to be a ripper. Our forwards will well and truly have their hands full. The hits will be dynamic.

Buy your tickets now for you , your friends and your family, buy your tickets and head out to Leichhardt for a game that will shake the foundations.

I think I said something along the lines of "Please don't Andrew you will leave a hole in the line and Slater will score"

Really looking forward to this game, the start of the season, watching Blair in our pack, interested who plays half and fullback and how they perform and we're are up against a team consisting of ex players who will have a point to prove, should be a full house and great atmosphere a real test straight up.
