Andrew Voss Commented On The WT Playing Jersey During Commentary Today

All this fuss over an ALTERNATE jersey. I hate the joint venture debate, but our MAIN jersey is black, with equal parts orange and white. As far as I'm concerned our alternate jersey should be a place to experiment with new designs and colours, and by all reports this one does well too.
Gone are the days of home and away jerseys, every club has three or four strips minimum.
If you want a shit storm you'll see one.

Interesting that a person who hates one of 3 official colors of the Wests Tigers has a user name Black and Gold forever. :crazy This thread is just made up of a whole lot of butthurt ex Balmain types who cant get over the fact that the white which looks great is getting a fair run in the JV.Its "interesting" for the last 15 years these EXACT same people who have relentlessly been going on about how ex Wests fans should shut up and move on are now finding themselves doing all the whingeing.

The fact that makes the ex Balmain even worse is that it is now 15 years on since the JV started and after 15 long years of Orange being the primary color on nearly everything Wests Tigers a splash of white comes on and they are all up in arms.To qualify this argument(and save a useless Balmain-Wests crapshoot)I am Ex Balmain but have the intelligence to work out that Balmain(nor Wests) will ever come back.The white looks good and the Anzac Jersey looks totally amazing. :sign: :sign: :sign:

Nobody has claimed and said anything about a balmain jersey or white jersey????
Its about the colour grey! It doesnt belong we are known as the tigers they are genetically orange/gold black and for heritage we have a magpie and a full home black jersey….

I would rather a western suburbs heritage as our main and a balmain heritage as away but the little westy's now have a chance to remove the orange all together....
Started last year with the (blood orange) jerseys last year totally turned people away from them, wouldnt be surprised it started from this point now grey eventually......
So dont give me this breaking away and finding our own identity crap????
We have an identity, marketing wise the best logo and colours to attract the youth....
But yeah grey is the new age... Guess it goes with the new generation of iphone communicators and delusional realities of facebook users...

Once you reconfirmed your butthurt status with the comment"the little Westys" I stopped reading.I assume 'little Westys" translates to people who run this JV.

To all the people who had a negative reply even after I state I would rather the western suburbs heritage jersey rather than what my opinion just on the 'GREY' obviously have the JV issue in there heads... GNR... i dont need to be a child physcologist to know the effect on children mate, obviously your brain must be less developed than a m infants maybe more like a birds.....

Forge an identify with gray??? yeah right let's wait and see till the next 309 jerseys come out for 2016… this jersey won't last a year like the others, it's got no chance seeing hardly anyone will buy it
 
Take a deep breath everybody…I personally don't like the grey,but it is there and we have to use it....in my opinion when I go to any of our games and you here the commentators say...
"There's a sea of Black and Gold"in the stadium,it makes me feel great,because the WTs supporters are out in force....take this how you like,but to me the BLACK signifies the Western Suburbs brothers and the gold signifies the Balmain brothers,coming together as one the Wests Tigers...black,gold or orange and white,to me that's the Wests Tigers....

Also,seeing the heritage Magpies and Balmain jumpers in the crowd makes me very proud to be a Wests Tigers member....
 
Just to add to my earlier thread….

I was a Balmain Boy all my life...now I love my Magpie brothers and sisters and my balmain sisters as one...no favourites because we are one the Wests Tigers....

END of them and us as far as Iam concerned..I have moved on....
 
Someone gets paid a motza to come up with alternate designs to "move with the times" Great way for our budgeting department to invest in the future. All the time in the world and they come up with white & grey when there's nothing wrong with what we have. Go figure.
 
The things all this argument about creating a WT identity is moot, because last years main and alternate combination was the best WT identity we have ever had.
 
as much as I dislike AFL, their Clubs do want ever they can to retain their identity. We change ours every five minutes

That's the thing. If you keep the main jersey the same and then just slight changes to the alternate now and then and each year just release new merchandise (polos, hats, shirts, etc) I think teams would make just as much money. Not that I'm basing that off any facts or figures.
 
Tigerspirit, I'm eagerly awaiting your evidence that kids have confused looks on their faces and it's all cos of a jersey. Maybe you could do a survey at our next home game.Also I'm amused by your constant personal attacks throughout this thread all cos I said I didn't mind the jersey. Are you sure you're not the child?

There seems to be a whole lot of "little westys" and "you obviously have the brain of a child" comments in this thread.Looks like its hit the raw nerve of the arrogant aloof type who has a "FALSE" sense of entitlement.You and I share one good trait GNR and it is neither of us suffer from little mans disease where our insecurities make us carry on like 5 year olds.Your post are great just like true tiger's.You are both men of rason and balanced comments.Keep em comin pal.
 
Jerry thanks for your kind words,sometimes I say things in the heat of the moment but mostly I try to stay on topic and give a reasonable opinion…....

The trouble is I wear my heart on my sleeve and tell it like it is,most people agree and others don't,such is life but I won't change myself for anything,with TT a spade is a spade...
