Andrew Webster Parramatta NYC Coach 2013.

Balmain's successful SG Ball coach has been given the Parramatta NYC job for next year, he would have to be the best junior coach we have had in a long time. I for one am very dissapointed in the club for not finding him a senior position. I believe he was offered the SG Ball again but he is way too good for that well done Parramatta and all the best to Andrew.

Good move from Parramatta. They have a very young NYC side full of 2012 SG Ball graduates that Andrew would have a fair bit of knowledge of.

This is bad. He could very well take Mitchell or Luke with him.

Disappointing, but you couldn't really punt Payten after the season he's had in charge of the NYC team, and obviously Andrew was in high demand. Good luck to him, he's a Tiger at heart and all Tigers fans will have a soft spot for him after what he's done with this year's SG Ball side.

I also believe they made Mitchell and Luke were tied up for a couple of years at least, they were in high demand before he moved. Moses in particular would never go back to Parra after they punted him a couple of years ago.

Seems a good coach, but also had a "gun" side. I think Todd has done a better job with the NYC, than Andrew with a gun SG Ball side…congrats to Andrew, though, as it seems he has worked hard and earned respect.

How could Andrew have done a better job than what he did? He won the comp slick. The only way you could argue Payto has done a better job is if he wins too.

By all reports a pretty decent coach & it's a pity we couldn't of provided him with better coaching opportunities. I've also read some good posts about Fletcher the coach of BRET who we might lose as well if he doesn't get the gig for WT NSW Cup coach.

Gun side, i don't think so. We struggled in the first game against Western Academy and were down 16-0 aginst the Roosters in round 2, had it not been for the coaching we would never had gone close to winning the comp. Luke Brooks only played 3 games due to injury any team that looses their star half would usually struggle. Andrew instilled confidence in all of the players particularly Mark Doaud who stepped up into Luke's position.
The turn around after the Semi Final loss to Canberra again was due to the coach getting the boys up for the following 2 games and the Grand Final. His ability to correct faults in his players is his strength, he spoke all year about the 1% plays that make so much difference to a team, I think a lot of these boys can make it to the NRL and it is just a shame that Andrew won't be there to guide them through. FYI Daoud has gone to Parramatta so he is the lucky one.

Firstly, I rate him as a coach, so ease up guys. I just think he had better players at his disposal than the NYC squad. It's just an opinion…chill people

Balmain really have NFI and are about to get hit with a few BIG surprises in the coming months. A lot of them are just arrogant syncophants. Andrew, who I've met, is quite down to earth…one of the very few.

The Tigers seem to enjoy getting rid of performing people in this business.

They didn't get rid of him, he left for a better job. That's the nature of the beast at that level. In any case he was the Balmain SG Ball coach so it has nothing to do with the Wests Tigers or what is happening at the moment.

Can't blame him for going to Parra for the NYC head job but Tigers only offered him the SG Ball gig again…no brainer really

Agreed, however, given Balmain looks like having no senior team in 2013 they couldn't offer him much else…

Balmain wont have any Juniors next year either. Hearing strong rumours they're giving the running of them to Ryde-Eastwood. They'll just be managing the rep teams…

Congrats to ANdrew Webster on his promotion to NYC level, a pity he is no longer in our system, however given our current NYC coach has got his team to the GF
