What an opportunity for him at Leichhardt Oval.

I have heard good things about him from a few people.

Obviously a rookie coach. However he does not have much to lose you feel.

We go into this game as heavy underdogs against a quality side in the Storm.

Be interesting to see if he makes any changes.

It does add some interest …. I was fast losing interest

His bench will be of most interest to me as well as our defense... Not expecting miracles but a change is as good yada yada

I was impressed until he mentioned he was in charge of our edge defence !!!

Gotta love the human spirit. Always optimistic but this guy will do nothing with the defence.
He is merely a puppet. The players will just do whatever they want.
It's like when you get a substitute teacher in school, you give them hell because they are only interim and soon forgotten.

Good Luck. :sign:

At least he is now front and centre if our defence is still horrible in the coming weeks.

And then he can work on scoring points. 1 try from an intercept in two weeks that is even more concerning for a club that has earnt the reputation of trying to outscore their opponents.

We will win big on Sunday. Three reasons.

1.Teams always bounce after the coach is sacked.
2\. IF the players were behind the sacking due to dogging the last 2 weeks they will play out of their skins to further rub it in.
3\. If they weren't necessarily behind it they won't want to shown the door/diminish contract negs any longer/or will want to play for new contracts for a new coach- they will play out of their skins.

I'm putting a few lobsters on. :sunglasses:

I think your dreaming.

There are too many weaknesess there for a quality well coached side like Melbourne to not expose.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking…..I haven't had all of the life beaten out of me yet - despite being a "tiger" since 1969.....
:brick: :crazy

Well he only came back this year from memory.

How many times have we conceded out there this year already?

Whether its personal or strategy it needs a re jig.

Sure. But if you think you can train players to overcome bad habits in three weeks, I don't think you understand much about high performance sports. Given you were a handy cricketer, I would have expected better Eddie.

Webster has been here since Day 1 of Pre-season..

Thanks Geo. I suspect even you would acknowledge the limitations of pre-season training. I was, obviously, referring to the fact that he had only been there for three games.

Yeah I guess a by watching the games they didn't put much into addressing the biggest weakness we have over 3 months…

Even if Preparation is 90% of inspiration..

They did. Our structure was significantly different this year. But if certain players, who seems to spend too much time with footy whisperers, aren't prepared to put their body on the line, then all the structures in the world aren't going to help.
