Another Judiciary oddity.

This last season Wests Tigers had 9 players given suspensions by the NRL JUDICIARY Closest to that, there is about 4 teams with 5 players, all other teams are less than 5, think Warriors only copped one.

Another thing where we seem to be treated differently to other clubs, East had 3 on report from last round, all to be fined,
With 2 games left to play today Sunday, so far there is 9 players on report, only one faces ban,
Api 3 or 4 weeks, 8 to get fines.

Yep, when players from more important (ie. most other) clubs go to the judiciary, they get fines or short suspensions. Yet Olam, Sezer and Api are hit with major suspensions. Even a prolific headhunter like JWH gets 3 weeks, same as a cleanskin like Api - and Gutho was smiling and looking well moments after writhing on the ground, trying to get Api sent.

I thought the Flannery suspension was way too long too - Crichton sticks his nose in the mouth of a gasping player on the ground with a mouthguard. No surprise that his nose would end up bleeding. But Saints are another Sydney club the NRL would like to replace with a shiny new out-of-town venture.

In fairness, Apis tackle was a spear tackle. It has always been multiple weeks for that type of tackle.

If he got off with a fine on that one that would be outrageous.

Api is no clean skin. He has been binned 3 times this year, been placed on report 5 times and charged 3 times. Add all that to a spear tackle and I’d say STFU and take the 3 weeks.

If you wanna make the game safer then Api should probably get a few weeks for a tackle he seems to get into trouble with consistently. But some of the other 8 blokes should probably get some weeks rest also.
