Is there any props in the American comp that we could look at. And should we start looking at some U.S. collages for some future prospects?
What you think guys?

Then again we did once have a Russian player… Standard of the US comps is very much below NRL or even Bundy Cup. I believe one of their better players (possibly a prop) had a decent season in one of the Qld Comps (maybe the Qld cup).
As for the US Colleges, teaching someone like that to play league is intriguing but very hard work - they are very different games. Besides your starting point would be guys not good enough for the NFL (the salary difference is huge).
Lastly the track record of American imports is fairly lousy. The names Manfred Moore and that Smith guy from Newcastle come to mind.

Would even South African rugby or UK rugby be worth poking around?

Not cheap, so the risk does not outweigh the reward. A good Curry Cup player, but outside the "super" system or below the top European leagues still earns $50k, and those players are well down the totem pole, unless we could sell on "lifestyle"
IMO there are more efficient ways to get players.
