The question I needed answering is why?
Say Api was square, why did he need to approach the tackle that way to try and break down the play?
Why didn’t he make a ball and all tackle and end up with a similar but legal result with the player losing the ball.
I’m questioning the mentality of our captain who decided to rush back in position at marker just so he could attack the arm / ball of the dummy half?
Why did he have to act so desperate?

Because he was desperate. Our team are constantly being marched backwards as our defence has no sting to it. Most of our ill discipline has originated from desperation to stop this.
