Arana taumata

I have no idea to be honest as I don't know who is being retained, hoe the rest of the 25 will filter etc etc.

My tip if he were to play for BRET is Lazarus 7 Arana 6

If considered for First Grade, Taumata has to be in the Halves. He's been an outstanding 6 and 7 respectively every club he's been at. Bellamey bought him to Melbourne to primarily play in the halves as a specialist which would see G.I. return to the Centres. He was dangerous at Canterbury and his stint in the QLD Cup with Brisbane Easts made many sit up and take notice of the kid's talent as a play maker, so much that the Broncos almost cut Wests grass when signing him seeing Taumata has a valuable commodity to help and support the depth for Lockyer and Wallace. Marshall at 6 - Taumata at 7 for mine. Let's not ruin another bright prospect by trying to make shift him as something he's not.

Bit small for a centre I would think. Saw him standing side by side Rangi Chase at the World Cup curtain raiser, looked the same size.

He'll figure somewhere in the top 17 I would think. He's had massive wraps on him for quite some time, only his discipline off the field has let him down. 6 or 7 will be where he fancies himself I'm sure.

from what ive heard through the tigers they have him signed for halfback.

Lets hope so,he could be a gem if his head is right,he also has plenty of speed, something not many halfbacks have these days.

His best position is five eighth but we should keep Benji and Moltz in the halves.

We've now got Moltzen, Benji, Taumata and Lazarus to fill 3 starting positions. Either Lazarus or Taumata can be 14 and come on to add anothe dimension. This is all in the long run of course, Lazarus will need plenty of time to find his feet again, literally.

What about Lui, Waters and Nichols to name a few…....as well

i think taumata better move in with benji moltz and tui

put benji on one side and taumata on the other. this will mean farah has 2 options to go to and even go himself if its on. the defence will be on their toes the whole 80mins knowing tigers can attack form anywhere.
i still love moltz in the number 7 though.
i think mullaney from u20s should be given a crack at the number 1\. i went n watched him vs dragons last night n he was outstanding (so to lui n dwyer). he is also a great goal kicker. i think we need a goal kicker next year. this year costs us too much.
at the end of the day i dont care if benji is in the front row and gibbs at 5/8th, as long as we are winning i will be happy.

after watching lui last night control the game better then any of our halves have since scott prince, i think taumata will spend a lot of the year with bret.
