Are our Jnrs actually any good?

No I can’t say that i have mate , just see other juniors at other clubs going well , i do hope we have something decent coming along soon

I would recommend you look at some games then

Our flegg side would of definetly won the comp this year and they were undefeated

In the game today with all the injuries WT'S have incurred in the last few games it highlighted the vast difference between State Cup and FG particularly with Cini & Madden

They are good, but most teams have experience rep players that player alongside their juniors.

We have Nofa and Brooks as our experienced WT players.

I think they are good but they don't play with any belief. I don't think the players (young and experienced) really believe in the game plan or know what it is. It's hard to believe when it doesn't work, and the longer it doesn't work the less they believe.

Talau has shown a bit of promise in the last few weeks. He is still a work in progress. I would persist with him for another year or two. Scored 11 tries as well which is a pretty decent achievement given he was forgettable for a good part of the year.

For all those wondering about our NSW cup side is, we were at second once the comp was stopped, and we somehow expect these players to be NRL standard even though they have not played much over 2 years due to COVID. I can't expect miracles to happen on the training park, I wish it did, but I believe if players from the NSW cup were given more of a chance things may have been different, but at least we would have seen them at least put their hearts in for the jumper.

I am hopeful that the JF players will have a chance next to play, if this COVID crap continues to next year, I can't see how any lower grade player will progress to the NRL, or it might just take a little longer than originally expected (and thats even with a COE).

The good thing is we have good juniors, we need to make sure we keep them and they want to be part of something special, then make sure we have some quality senior members who can guide them.

This all comes back to our identity and what as a club we are trying to achieve, at the moment it's all up in the air, and who in their right mind would join an organisation or business when there is way too much going on.

From the ones I've seen come into first grade, they seem really average.

Laurie was from Penrith. Stef from Parra. Simpkin from QLD.

But not all Flegg and KOE players actually make it as NRL standard players.
That's the thing - who to pick and who to keep.

It's the Juniors not in the nrl side that are good. Which suggest we still 3 season of doom away if all goes well

Is the OP question "Are our Jnrs actually any good" or is it "Will our Jnrs end up any good?"

The answer to the OP question, based on our undefeated Flegg boys is.....yes.

Good post!!!
If you want some inspiration for the journey ahead, look at the video on the Wests Tigers site recently interviewing 2 of our Jersey Flegg Minor Premiership side, who were undefeated. It lifts my spirits to see the passion the young Tigers have. Our display against the Panthers was a good one. I will forget yesterday. Stay true Tiger supporters!!!
