I was just wondering if our game plan has a lot to do with alot of our downfalls.
Everyone rates our forward pack as individuals. I mean Galloway, Fifita, Heighno, Ellis, Dwyer - theres alot of good players there, but why cant a pack containing this list of players make any metres or get any roll on? Does it have to do with the fact every hitup has to come off 2 passes and the opposition defence is racing up? Would we make alot more metres if Fifita just got the ball straight off the dummy half and was just told to "run straight" (simple i know)…... Or the fact every time heighno takes a hitup he runs into the markers? without some of these tactics would our forwards get run over the top of most weeks?
Another serious issue... kicking game. While I dont rate it at all, does the fact we have to go two passes wide before kicking just put added pressure (while giving there back 3 more time to position themselves). Is our kicking game that bad or does this contribute to it?
