Are the NRL really in control of the game ?

If what Annesley is saying is correct, the last play of the game can be challenged whether a decision has been made or not. Expect lots of speculative challenges now like in cricket where the batting team has a review to spare at the end of its innings.

Exactly if you are behind by less than 6 at full-time you challenge every last play of the game looking for anything - guy didn't play the ball with his foot, marker wasn't square, someone wasn't back 10 - (not sure you can challenge all those but you get the point) the crowd will be counting down the last 10 seconds till the captains challenge 🙄🙄
 
ANNESLEY is trailer trash. I want more heads gone. Lie lies and more lies. The truth of the matter is with this rubbish, corruption is rife. And sadly but true , if they took all the steroid users and drug takers out of the game, they won’t have a product. In reality these standard would be Reggie grade.
WE ARE WORST THAN WWE, plots plots and more plots .

For the mean time , I hope they change advertising rules . No more betting logos on club colours through out the game, and then from our stadiums. keep it on tv , we can’t control that.
Vlandis has all the answers,, but not today, where is he , he’s the head, or he should be the next head after ANNESLEY.

WHEN/IS our club going to make a statement. I hope for them , it shows we are willing to fight this for answers not points. They have to act in their members best interests, or wont they.

What’s the easiest way to get out of this mess.
Admit that the biggest controversial call is in fact legal as in his words ‘the stars aligned in that play’

Are we ever going to see a game go to a kick off with 1 sec on the clock? Probably not.
Are we ever going to see a captain randomly challenge a decision to blow full time on the game. Never again.

What I don’t get is when a similar farce occured in the Dragons v Raiders game when hunt held down for 2x set restarts for the final 20secs or so the answer immediately was the raiders should of challenged it.
But what followed was this farce that they will consider letting the game play on for the final set.
Where was our final set then after Laurie caught the ball. (I know it hasn’t been implemented as a change)

But ultimately the most simple call to make is to say the bunker got it wrong.
The bloke in the box made the wrong decision.

Oh but he is a stand up guy and probably won’t be punished as the decision could of gone either way.

What I would of liked the reporters to ask is by what set of laws did Klein make the determination to award the escort penalty when after review of the decision he made the wrong call.
How is that possible?
 
Annersley said the ref blew his whistle not to stop the game, but to stop play. At that point there was no problem and no challenge, so why did he blow the whistle unless to stop the game, or if the bunker was in his ear? I would think that Kleine in the bunker had intervened.
 
IF NOTHING IS DONE
I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO BRING A WHISTLE TO OUR NEXT GAME AND BLOW IT WILLINGLY AND WISELY TO INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME.
We want changes , this will send a beautiful message to them that we can do something to the product ,
Do they what a finals Series with protests going on, I think not.

They are pretty confident that the bunker was in his ear advising him that a challenge still remained for the cowboys.

Which is wonderful to know. Shame that they couldn't use it in that play like any other play in the game oh wait according to this never before seen rule I'm making up right now you can!

Yeah, it was mentioned the Tigers wil ask for the transcript between the match officals in that final decision and Annsely said the Tigers can come here and listen to it now.
 
Kleine has actually been one of our better on field refs awarding us 17 wins from 35 games, as opposed to Sutton who has given us just 16 from 42, including a run of 9 consecutive losses. That's from The Rugby League Project. I can't forgive his interference in this one though - ever!
