Are the NRL really in control of the game ?

Folks what did you think he would say!! This was damage control spin straight out of the “ How to succeed in conservative politics .

He spent the first 15 minutes talking about a rule that is apparently a rule, but is not in the rule book. He just went round and round in circles. It was straight out of the old English comedy Yes Minister. Than when we get to the moment of truth, he said they did not agree with call. No mention it was the WRONG call, just they did not agree. Basically he is saying that it was not black and white and Klein had made a honest call.

This is how the NRL handle possible the worst call in years. Annesley has to be sacked

Agreed,Humphrey Appleby would be proud of the double speak and arse covering from Annesley.He got booted out of politics for being a useless right wing conman and he is achieving exactly the same in his current position.

Annesley is the biggest stain on the game. Peter V and Abbo just rub shoulders with the people who supply the cash to run the game.

Annesley is the guy that actually runs the actual game itself and needs to be sacked pronto. Surely they can’t afford to have this guy in charge. We need a good old fashion rebellion by the clubs. Maybe time for a Saudi break away comp

You can’t live this down, we all know the right outcome . It’s not the 2pts ,or the the win or sorry, it’s the blatant Corruption
 
A poster on here posted a video this morning showing Townsend with his foot on the Tigers side of halfway when he kicked the ball off, he also showed part of the rule book where it says you will be penalized if you enter opponents territory whilst kicking off , the ref was less than 20 ft from him and had a clear view, but nothing said.
Annesley admitted the penalty was wrong, WT should litigate now, unless Brydens are powder puffs
