Forgetting about Taylor for a minute….

Its time we turn the blow torch on the senior players for this shambolic club. We have had a soft boys club culture for years. Im not a Taylor fan by any means, but just changing the coach won't totally fix our problems.

We lack leaders. We lack mongrel.

Robbie has been too busy having tantrums over the years. Lawrence looked like a choir boy at that press conference tonight, this after getting whacked by 60, no emotion no passion. Woodsie just looks like a larrikin, smiling all the time on the field. Benji was a sook, crying about not being able to have lunch with certain players. Dene Halatau looks like a good bloke, but does he inspire?

How I would love to have a player, a leader like a James Graham. Just competes on every play. Gives the team a massive spray behind the posts today. Even someone like a Greg Bird or Beau Scott, just physically try and bully the other side.

We need someone to shake this joint up from its slumber. There is no accountability. My guess and its only a guess is we have the easiest pre seasons of any teams. We don't push ourselves through the torture some other stronger clubs do. We can cry about money and of course we could be right, but we also need to be accountable.

Our players shouldn't be getting a free pass for our ineptitude over the past 5 seasons. Taylor will cop most of the heat and he deserves some. He might even get sacked shortly. However there is a part of me that would rather these players go down or at least acknowledge some blame for our pitiful state of affairs.

I think Lawrence is great. He runs and hits hard all game. If we had a team full of players like him we would be going a lot better.

Im not saying some of them don't give their all on the field.

However none of them are captivating leaders.

Lawrence was captain of that shambles tonight.

Was he there giving the boys a fearful spray or rev up behin the posts?

I doubt it.

You've hit the nail right on the head Eddie….. Would have loved to have seen the team huddle after the first try last night. That was spray material for sure.....but who was going to give it???
Your assumption of our leading group is spot on. However the answer to it mighten be able to be told. If they haven't stood up after all these years there can be no hope now. We have always thought as a club that our skills would substitute a fair dinkum spray.

But people don't like players like Bird, Matai, Hodges, Josh Reynolds, JWH, Ferguson etc…. They're all grubs and are hated for pushing the envelope constantly.
Other fans don't hate anyone in our team except Farah and thats just for his off field tanties. Senior origin level hardnuts is what we need along with a no BS coach and someone that can teach basic bloody defence

I still feel he is a leader. I don't think we need a spray either. We need players that put in and have the ability to perform at the NRL level. We also need a coach who can come up with a squad and game plan that means we can win some games.

A one off yelling or screaming isn't going to solve the problem.

Where is our "James graham" ? The serve he delivered to the Bulldogs behind the in goal was something someone from our team needs to deliver! Noffa looked pissed yesterday and tried to lift the team through his efforts and hard running, he looked like he wanted to say something!

Unfortuantely I think that some of the "leaders" in the club are self serving and soft and this rubs off on the performance of some of the young players coming through.

Sironen goed missing for 65 minutes a game. It is emabrressing watching our backs cop a hiding taking hit-ups inside on own 20, while Siro looks on from the centres.

I don't think he can play as a wide backrower anymore. He doesn't have the pace and he doesn't get involved enough. It's not working.

The thing is the production line is still churning out sirros… And while Jnr deserves benefit of the doubt as he hasn't had a crack yet, we all know he will get one Wether it's earnt or not
Rubbish recruitment. Is here to stay I'm afraid

Is it any surprise that this club's most recent period of success came with a bloke like Gareth Ellis in the back row…

We need Donald Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon

Build that wall Donald so our defence is secure

''Make Wests Tigers great again''

But then again we've never been great.

Never mention the word Leadership and the Whole Weststigers organisation in the same sentence …this team needs a leader that will drive this team forward a person that is not all consumed about ones self. This should be the clubs first priority to seek out a player with theses qualities the search has to start immediately, there is NO one at this point with these qualitys at this club yes there are a few nice guys and that is it .

A large problem of this club is one bloke.

He is despised by many other players in other teams, hence they wouldn't come here while he is here.
The media hate him because he is PROVEN to be a leak.
He can't find any other team that would take him.
He is clearly a destabilising personality with a big ego.

I sincerely think when he goes, one day, the culture will change.

His name is Ava and to a large extent I believe he lets his play speaks for itself. I was impressed when he was interviewed as he is quietly spoken, humble but articulate. A good player to build a team around.
