Are we being marked for removal?

I might be paranoid but 2 years for Balmain to repay debt is awfully coincidental.

2016 is earmarked as the year we introduce expansion teams. Nothing I've read anywhere indicates Balmain are likely to be able to pay back the debt so at the end of next year if nothing changes we're going to have the license revert to Western Suburbs who have stakeholders who are remiss to really involve themselves with the Wests Tigers project anyway, and without Balmain or the ARLC to share the cash leak that is the WT will have even more trouble coming to terms with wholly pushing the Tigers brand forward.

There's going to be some turmoil. So what better time to sell the license back to the NRL and let the NRL sell the license on to an upstart club so they get another expansion club and reduce the number of Sydney teams all in one fell swoop.

It all just adds up too much. The Panthers drop Penrith from their name due to supposedly having their eye on becoming the Greater Western Sydney side. Balmain are given an arbitrary amount of time to repay debt that happens to coincide with expansion despite there being no realistic way for them to turn a profit. The wealthier leagues clubs involved with Wests are stand offish to begin with so how can we expect them to take up 100% financial ownership of a brand that will likely be run ragged by the off field drama that occurs as a result of it.

I've got this sinking feeling you guys.

Wests Tigers will continue to Exist!

Ownership may change, location may change, but one thing is certain… Wests Tigers Brand within the NRL Landscape will remain.

Keep the Faith... We are Due for another Premiership before then!

I'll take the 8 games for $100 for 4 family members straight up thanks Grant

We?
Not sure who you mean, Balmain or WTs?

I mean Wests Tigers.

To me it just all makes too much sense. The time that the ARLC have decided to fund us coinciding with expansion. I can't see the Magpies wanting to fund the "Wests Tigers" themselves. I can't see Balmain recovering. The Panthers seem to be smelling blood and circling.

Either someone is going to come in and buy us and be our sugar daddy, we're relocating, or we're finished. I can't see the Wests Tigers operating as they are past 2015 I'm afraid and I feel the most likely scenario is the branding and player and staff contracts being sold to a suiter from another location.

Wests Tigers in Perth perhaps? Hell Ben Elias has been involved. Why not let the paranoia set right in and extend to this being a devious plan to get the Tigers to Perth all along. My brains are bleeding from mine eyes.

That Ipswich/Logan proposal could use the Wests Tigers brand and it'd make sense. Lol.

I did hear something about Penrith Panthers having their post match presso after round one somwhere at camden?

Camden??

Quite an amusing post there…

Wests faction extended a much more lenient offer to the Balmain faction, which they turned down and thus put us at the mercy of the League itself... how about you rest the responsibility where it actually lays instead of casting aspersions. We have proof of what has happened and why it has, why not show faith in those actually still carrying the torch.

that is all.

I'm not so sure about Logan , look at the WNBL side at Logan , its about to go belly up

Ipswich is OK ,I'll buy the old mans property and rent it out to prospective Tigers supporters at a good rate Its got 7 bedrooms, a workshop, pool and a shed (Well good for me anyway  )

We could only dream of being on this track.

Refusing to answer why they've ditched Penrith from their name.

Lol okay Mr. High Horse. I wasn't resting the blame of anything on anybody. I was merely pointing out a series of potential events that may or may not occur. So you can swirl your glass of red around a little harder next time please.

"Last year (2012), the Panthers registered the name 'Western Sydney Panthers' however the club is yet to reveal their plans behind securing the name. "

i dont want to believe you, so i wont

I thought the panthers name change was so they move away from just encompassing Penrith and allow more accessability to the brand (over seas and the like)

Also, Uncle Harry won't let the club just dissolve like that. He's worth a few billion, im sure he can prop up 5 million if WT is in danger of collapsing. That is, UNLESS he sees a good reason for whatever the NRL want to do.

I dont see it in the NRL's best interest to disrupt the club.

You could make the same conspiracy theory that Penrith are gonna merge with the eels. Parramatta Panthers doesn't sound too bad?

also, "They did fail in an approach to be considered as owner of the Western Sydney Wanderers A-League team recently."

they coulda gotten the name but failed to get the a league club.

Meh, if I'm on a High horse, you rode in on a donkey. A few of us brought this up when the NRL loan idea was floated, you aren't freaken Nostradamus, more like his slower intellectually challenged mate rocking around in his tin foil hat.

Dont worry about my red wine, keep your focus on laying off the crack pipe.
