Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

With R360 being a threat, now the whole NRL will feel what it’s like being a Tigers supporter having developed juniors only for them to be poached by a bigger club. In PVLs own words, they (R360) do nothing to develop the game and just poach the best players.

PVL needs to look at this within the NRL let alone R360.

10 year sanctions for players going to R360? Why aren’t there transfer fees at least within the NRL for this?

PVL - starting to lose his grip I feel.
Oh idk, if you ever hear him talk, he has a firm grip around something.

What a load of crap, they face more top 8 teams! At the end of every year odds from the previous season play each other twice then play the evens once. The same the other way, do they can only play 4 top 8 sides at most twice. But carry on
This is clearly not true. Broncos next year have 5 of this year's top 8 twice. As do Storm and Roosters. But carry on.

I honestly doubt if Latrell's attitude would be well received by our coaching staff and don't believe it is one that should be encouraged at our club. The few souffs supporters i have spoken to over the last 3 years all feel he has had a detrimental affect on their club.
Agree. It’s a shame Latrell probably doesn’t realise what Latrell could have been if he had an elite attitude.

There’s really nothing the NRL can do about R360. They can mock it for coming out of a cereal box all they like, but as long as the cheques clear, you think players are going to care. Some will be able to earn more in 3 or 4 years than an entire career in the NRL. It seems quite a few are happy to call PVL’s bluff on the ban. And in the event it’s enforced, they’ve already earned a fortune and have set themselves up for life. Expect more players to be granted releases to “pursue other endeavours”.

Don’t forget, they can’t all go to R360. And there’s players all over the world to choose from in union. Not just the NRL.

If not for his head he could've been anything; all the physical attributes and talent, but not much of the attitude needed to be one of the true greats.

His move to fullback was an arrogant one, and imo he would've been better off staying at centre - and at the Roosters.

I don't think he understood fullbacks have to defend as well, because he either has no idea where he is supposed to be near the try line or is simply too lazy or unfit to get there.

No tears from TS he never played at WT...what a disaster that would've been.

Still, not fulfilling 100% of your potential in sport isn't the end of the world.

I think he might already do a lot for his community (not sure. I think Mundine did/does), but I hope he is kept busy after league because given his history he seems the type who might struggle with too much time and money on his hands... Or nose.

Hope he has it in him to become a better role model, because like it or not, it comes with the turf as a high profile
nrl player - particularly so an indigenous one - and he could do a lot of good.

Well that’s the way it has been for years. So if they changed it, then that’s on the great Valandys! Recheck the history
How far back do I need to go? I just randomly checked the Broncos 2019 draw (last year before Vlandys) and Broncos played 5 of 2018s top 8 twice. So it predates Vlandys.

I don’t think he means his personality.
