I dunno about that - I think people who enjoy melodrama and slapstick comedy are naturally drawn to our hi-jinx.Thats one of the problems right there. Delusional. There is no way in hell the Tigers have anywhere near 400,000 fans on Earth. You could add up both legacy teams fans from 1908 and it still wouldnt be anywhere near 400K.
Yes, I think that pretty well sums it up.You left out one other option. Marshall stays where he is BUT gets someone to be the attack coach who actually develops and improves our attack and another assistant to build our defence properly. Marshalls problems are two fold. He doesn't have to be some great tactician, he needs to be a good man manager ( which he may or may not be) but it is essential he surrounds himself with assistants who are at the top of their game, not jobs for the boys. Herein lies the second problem......money. To get the best you have to pay for it.
Let’s start with the big picture. There are roughly 8.24 billion people on Earth. According to the club’s own estimates, around 400,000 of those identify as Wests Tigers fans. This includes casual supporters, legacy fans from the Balmain or Magpies days, and anyone unlucky enough to have inherited the allegiance through family.
That gives you odds of about 1 in 20,600. In other words, the statistical likelihood of being born into or choosing this club is less than 0.005%. You are more likely to be hit by lightning in your lifetime. You are more likely to have an identical twin. You are more likely to be named “Wayne”.
And yet, here we are.... literally feels healthier to bet the family home on black at star city
Was a joke to help me cope through an abysmal performanceDon't get it really.
The stats change big time when you're born in Sydney, for example.
Numbers are the same for every club.
And depends what you mean by cursed?
I think we've upgraded from the past. Perhaps not MENSA level yet in terms of management and coach but it's a start. Give em another year before the drums start really beating. Mine will be loud if nothing has changed (even though I think we've had more changes the Priscilla already that have achieved nothing but more instability). No Mikey it’s the curse of a different kind!
We need smart people running, coaching and playing for the club.
Adaptable, intelligent people who can establish direction, follow instructions yet have the nous to change where necessary and adapt to what’s in front of them.
We just don’t have it at present !
One match doesn't define the last 4 seasons. 3 spoons and staring down the barrel at our 4th in row. Yeah things are great.Yeah Denny was poor out there last night.
Run metres were down and a stack of missed tackles.
I reckon he cost us the game !
(that and the little Magpie on his sleeve) 🥴
Why do you have us at 17?Some analysis for you to consider ;
Leading teams and coaches;
1. Canberra - Ricky Stuart
2. Storm - Craig Bellamy
3. Dogs - Cameron Ciraldo
4. Warriors - Andrew Webster
5- Panthers - Ivan Cleary
6- Sharks - Craig Fitzgibbon
7- Broncs - Michael McGuire
8-Roosters - Trent Robinson
9- Manly - Anthony Seibold
10-Dolphins - Kristisn Woolf
11- Saints - Shane Flanagan
12-Parra - Jason Ryles
13-knights - Adam o Brien
14-Titans - Des Hasler
15- Rabbits- Wayne Bennett
16-Cowboys - Todd Payten
17- Tigers - Benji Marshall
So what does that list tell you ?
Because our coach isn’t Australian and we have too many islanders with no brains, supposedly leading the team, so that’s where we’ll end up again this year. Isn’t it becoming painfully clear to you !Why do you have us at 17?
Yep that ownership structure is a problem. I think first up Wests should take back that 10% from Balmain ownership that way there can be no division between the owners as there will only be one.One match doesn't define the last 4 seasons. 3 spoons and staring down the barrel at our 4th in row. Yeah things are great.
We keep sacking coaches, board members and the only thing that remains is the ownership structure. HBG are hell bent of wrecking the club to get their little bird back in the NRL.
Lots of issues never get addressed. No home ground to call our own. No real coaching. Were throwing turds at the wall and hoping it sticks.
You are 100% correct Mr ball. Why can’t these sad old Magpies see with the clear insight you have. This forum is full of sad old Magpies who just can’t see that all our problems stem from the Magpies of the 90s and the Burgess haircut. Will you join me in a few rousing verses of “black and gold never fold”.One match doesn't define the last 4 seasons. 3 spoons and staring down the barrel at our 4th in row. Yeah things are great.

from 1 twin to another Wayne , sometimes it does feel like we are cursed
